THE DAILY BLUEPRINT 4/8/11 Turned Away Isaiah 53:3 (Jesus) He was despised, and rejected of men, a man of sorrows, and aquatinted with grief: and we as it were hid our faces from Him, He was despised, and we esteemed Him not! What a hard verse to read - JESUS was despised - He was rejected - Beaten to an inch of His life and then placed on a wooden cross where He bled and died for you and me - for our sins - I think sometimes we hear that some much we don't give it a passing thought - well I think it's time we stare it in the face - this is a real event that really happened - not some man-made story - not a comic - but real - JESUS actually died for us - HE actually allowed the soldiers to take HIS life - HE had to give it over to them for them to do what they did - it's hard to think our sins sent JESUS to the cross - it's hard to believe our sins put HIM there - but oh they did - It was God's love for us that sent JESUS from Heaven to this earth! We must remember the pain - the grief - that our GOD was rejected - and despised - thrown away like a piece of meat - these are hard words to type but I feel lead to do so tonight - sometimes we need to slow down and remember - JESUS died for us - not for some faceless humility - but for you -and for me - JESUS died for you personally - He gave up HIS life for you - let's not separate what happened that Good Friday from ourselves - we were there - our sins were placed on JESUS and not only that - the perfect ONE of Heaven became sin- GOD the FATHER looked away and JESUS faced the fires of hell all alone - but HE forever set the record straight that we belong to HIM and that HIS love motivated this sacrifice - Thank YOU JESUS for taking our place - for dying for our sin - You did not deserve what you got and we didn't deserve what YOU did for us - but YOU love us - You showed us in the cross -thanks for saving that which was lost! WORD TO THE WISE: KNOWING JESUS DIED AND KNOWING HE DIED FOR YOU ARE FAR DIFFERENT THINGS! BECAUSE OF CHRIST OUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN - HIS BLOOD WAS POURED OUT! THE DAILY BLUEPRINT 4/7/11 Christ Minded 1st Corinthians 2:16 Who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct them? But we have the mind of Christ!! Many say when you get saved your get the heart of Christ - but today's verse goes much further then that - We have the mind of Christ - once He saves us - our mind is no longer the same fleshly mind we were born with - sure it still wants the same things- the flesh that is - but the Spirit now dwelling in us only want to please GOD! When we come to a problem we often wonder what to do - the first thing we must do is ask GOD what to do - and then use the mind He has given us - sometimes we get lazy and want to go back to our old ways - because it just seemed easier not worrying about pleasing God - but in the end - we will regret all those times we didn't take GOD seriously - when we didn't do what HE called us to do - we must remember that when JESUS saves us by HIS blood - we are changed forever - we cannot go back and live the life we lived before Christ - although I have known several people who have tried - it's a miserable life - without purpose - you are just drifting to nowhere - but in CHRIST you have HIS mind - and your thinking has changed - no longer is it about you and your needs - but about God and others - our lives radically change when we allow the mind that CHRIST gave us to think more then our old earthly mind that just wants what it wants - living for JESUS is the best life of all - remember if you are saved you have HIS mind - amazing! Think about that - HIS mind is in you! Awesome! Amen! WORD TO THE WISE: WE NO LONGER HAVE TO THINK LIKE THE WORLD - WE HAVE CHRIST AND HIS MIND! BECAUSE OF CHRIST OUR HEART AND MIND ARE TRANSFORMED FOREVER! BUILDING ON THE WORD for 4/7/11 IF YOU GIVE YOUR HEART TO JESUS - HE GIVES YOU HIS MIND TOO!

THE DAILY BLUEPRINT 4/6/11 Different but the same! 1st Corinthians 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit! We must admit we are all different - no two of us are the same - not even identical twins - there are differences even in them - God didn't make this world boring - we are not all the same because GOD didn't want us to all be the same - He wanted variety and that is just what HE made - in our differences we are also very much the same - we all need oxygen and we all produce carbon dioxide - we all need water and food to survive - we also need sleep and sunshine - but apart from that we are vastly different - different cultures - different ways of looking at life - but if you are of the Church - then while we are different in many ways - i.e. Talents - what we have to offer others - we have the same Spirit dwelling in us - Paul wanted the church to know that no one gift is better than another and just because you do well in one area does not make you any better then your brother or sister in Christ who is not - GOD just wants us to use our gifts in the best way possible - sadly many possess gifts God wants to use but they have not opened their minds or hearts to the idea - with me it was the area of children's ministry - God kept calling me and I kept saying nah - well HE turned up the heat - showed me what HE gifted me with and said trust ME! And I did - and you know what - I am so blessed when I did - maybe you have gifts you have never used - maybe you feel you don't have any gifts - I would say you are dead wrong - GOD gave all of us gifts - our job is to find out what HE gave us as gifts - some it's cleaning the church (yeah no glamor in that but it's need) whatever GOD calls you to do - do it with all you have - be the best whatever HE calls you to be - don't worry about what other's are doing - you do what GOD has called you to do! May you find the gifts that GOD has for you and than walk in faith and allow them to be used for God's glory! WORD TO THE WISE: GOD HAS SOMETHING FOR YOU TO DO - PRAY AND ASK HIM TO SHOW YOU - TO USE YOU! BECAUSE OF CHRIST WE HAVE GOD GIVEN TALENTS FOR THE CHURCH! BUILDING ON THE WORD for 4/6/11 DO WHAT GOD SAYS - WHAT HE SAYS MATTERS!

THE DAILY BLUEPRINT 4/4/11 Help Them! Romans 12:13a When God's children are in need, you are the one to help them out! When you give your life away to JESUS you become part of a large family - the body of Christ - please note this is NOT just your LOCAL church body that you belong to - but everyone who is a Christ-follower - they are our brothers and sisters in Christ - often there is divisions between us - but when it comes to needs - we should be the ones meeting the needs of the Body! Many in our churches right now are hurting - many put on a brave face and act like all is ok - but the truth is, many struggle with many things- and we who are of the Church must lead a hand - I have found many children in my class whom come from broken families - I was from a broken family and I am able to help these children understand that they can make it through this hard time - in the same way if someone is physically suffering in the church -we must help them - there is no second guessing - the world around us won't be helping - nor should they be the ones to land a hand to the body - it should come from within - not that we should turn down the worlds help - but we don't need it -we need to work together in this - we must begin to know people around us - not just in a passing "hey how you doing?" sort of way - but really see what they are about - their weaknesses and their strengths - we must get out of our comfort zones and roll up our sleeves and help - just look around your city - there are needs everywhere - we should help with them - after all we are family in CHRIST! WORD TO THE WISE: IF WE CLAIM TO KNOW THE LORD - WE MUST KNOW OTHERS AND THEIR NEEDS - OR ELSE WE COME UP SHORT! BECAUSE OF CHRIST WE CAN GIVE AIDE TO THOSE IN NEED AROUND US! BUILDING ON THE WORD for 4/3/11 ARE THERE NEEDS IN THE CHURCH AROUND YOU? WE MUST HELP THEM!

THE DAILY BLUEPRINT 4/1/11 Don't be a fool! Psalm 53:1 A fool has said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable sins: there is none that does good. Today is what is called April Fool's Day - sorry if I am causing someone to not be able to trick you today - just don't be a fool - a fool is someone who says that there is no GOD - you can see this daily if you just turn on the TV - you will see people say that there is no God - there are those who want to make laws that make it illegal to pray in public - to have the bible as an elected course at school - many want GOD totally removed from our nation - what a foolish thing - GOD is real - GOD loves us - GOD sent HIS Son - deny that and you won't be in heaven - JESUS shed HIS blood to save us - and yet many this day openly deny HIM - some through their words - others with their actions - it seems these days anything goes - kids are getting involved in sex earlier and earlier - drugs and drinking as well - children these days know way too much about things they should not know about - it's a fact - less GOD means more breakdown of the family - of our nation - The WORD says anyone who says there is no GOD is a fool - not my words - so let's not be a fool - let's show the world around us where our trust is - in JESUS alone - the world may not understand - you also may be persecuted for standing for the truth - but don't be fooled - GOD sees and knows our hearts - HE does not want us to be like the fools who are lost in their sins - once we all were fools but then JESUS changed our lives - Don't be a fool! WORD TO THE WISE: THERE IS NO FOOLING GOD! HE IS REAL AND HE LOVES YOU! BECAUSE OF CHRIST WE KNOW GOD IS REAL! BUILDING ON THE WORD for 4/1/11 IF YOU KNOW GOD - TELL OTHERS ABOUT IT!

THE DAILY BLUEPRINT 3/31/11 Say It! Psalm 89:1b With my mouth I will make known Your faithfulness to all generations! The words we speak have power! When we give GOD the glory for everything and take none for ourselves and tell others about it - we speak the truth - we show the lost world around us our trust is in JESUS and HIM alone - now it's true many can speak things that are not true - it's easy sometimes to say things much harder to live it - so while we speak about GOD our lives should line up with what we say - it's easy to say we trust GOD and yet allow worry and other things to take our trust away from HIM and the world will take notice - we must speak and live the same way - our words must match our lives or else it's not true - We must say it with our lives - now there are times none of us are good witnesses for Christ - we all have bad days - lose our temper - or fall prey to sin - but JESUS wants to transform our lives so that what we say and do match completely - we must always remember we are human - we are fallible -we can sin and often get caught up in ourselves - our problems - our needs and forget that others are watching us - what is your life saying? Remember apart from JESUS you cannot live this life right - we are not able without CHRIST and HIS Spirit dwelling in us- I want to be careful not to give you a list to follow but a Savior to follow - lets never forget how weak we are apart from JESUS - now go - let HIM live in and through you - speak it - say it with your life! WORD TO THE WISE: SAY IT WITH YOUR LIFE! BECAUSE OF CHRIST WHAT WE SAY AND DO MATCH! BUILDING ON THE WORD for 3/31/11 HOW CAN THEY BELIEVE IF WE DON'T SPEAK WHAT WE BELIEVE?

THE DAILY BLUEPRINT 3/30/11 GO! Matthew 28:19-20 Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: Teaching them whatsoever I have command you, and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world! These are the last words of JESUS in the Gospel of Matthew - with all that HIS followers had been through in the short time they lived with JESUS - His mission was not only to save those who accepted HIM as Savior - but to save the lost - and HE wants use us to do it - sure He could have chosen some other way - but this is God's way - to use those who follow HIM to show the world around them - what it really means to follow JESUS! Jesus had taught these brave 11 men for 3 years - and now He was heading home to be with His Father - it was time for the followers of JESUS to be bold and spread this good news around the world- the mission is still the same today - for some this mission will actually mean going to other lands to spread the gospel - for others it may be your circle of influence that GOD uses to bring people to HIM - still others may be thought to teach to gospel - and in doing so those who learn about the gospel will teach others - we must remain strong in this mission - it's vital - in today's world were what once was call evil is not considered good - men following after their desires instead of loving their wives - wives not loving their husband - this should be not be so in the church but sadly it's the norm now - how are we gonna show Christ to a lost and dying world when we cannot love each other - we need revival and we need it now! It's time - Jesus is on HIS way - just take a look at the world around you today -you don't have to look very far to see that this world is a big mess - what are we to do about it? GO - JESUS says GO - HE said GO - so let's GO - GOD has a plan and we must follow HIM at all times- let's go!

THE DAILY BLUEPRINT 3/24/11 Break Forth Isaiah 58:8 Then shall your light break forth as the morning, and your health shall spring forth speedily: for your righteousness shall go forth before you: the glory of the LORD shall be your reward, You have heard the saying "It's always the darkest before the dawn"? That can be said about our world- just take a look at what's going on around us - the earthquake and following damage in Japan - the economies of the world being brought to shambles - people losing their houses - their jobs - their livelihoods - governments are being overthrown across the globe (I will say that in most cases this is a needed thing) Our world is under attack and has been since the garden - again this is not our home - our home is yet to come! Today's verse also makes me think about severe weather -here in the South during this time of the year - it's not unusual at all to have several days of severe weather in the Spring - tornado warnings are common - and last night we were under the gun - but as the storms pass on by - and all danger is gone - we can look back and what the storm brought us - since it's darkest before the dawn - our mission should be to show the world the LIGHT of CHRIST and allow it to break forth in our lives - often it's hidden and God must do something to crack the case - so that HIS light will break forth - He wants to use you today - but often we run and hide from the uncomfortable things in our lives - we usually do what we want to do and very little else - that's our flesh - but the Spirit gives life to us - and HIS light will break forth as you trust your life to HIM! WORD TO THE WISE: Is HIS light breaking forth in your life? Why or why not?

Today I thought I would share some of my favorite scripture passages! I love how all three of these work together - I love putting I can do all things through CHRIST with Apart from ME you can do nothing - I think of it as a statement of dependence on my LORD and SAVIOR - Then we move to Romans 8:28 - this verse helps us when we are in the mire of trial - and believe me - the longer you live - the more trials you will go through - it's not that GOD is being mean - He just wants us to grow - and we seem to grow best when the trials of life come - like an old tree bent by the wind - if it didn't bend it would break - we must go with the flow of God's Spirit and not by our feelings or emotions - God gave them to us - but we cannot base our whole live on them - we must put our trust elsewhere - none other then JESUS should be our ROCK - the ONE we lean on - depend on - if you are trying to live this life apart from HIM - Romans 8:28 is not gonna work - and you can forget doing all things through HIM because HE won't go against our free will - He wants us to love HIM because we want too - not because we have to -

DO NOT FEAR!

Jesus said,

I thought I would change gears today - I was sitting here praying and when I looked up at my computer I saw where I had taped a verse to the bottom - I looked at it and felt lead to use it - it's the verse I have used above - with all that has been going on in this world lately - natural disasters rake areas of this world - many economic struggles worldwide -and political unrest every where you look -from the price of gas at the pumps to those without basic needs being met in Japan - our world is a mess - another reminder that this is not our home - JESUS told us not to fear - He warned us we would have trouble in this life -and HE has shown us HE is there and HE is our help in time of need - as we live this life - we must have heaven in view - after all that's our home - not this place - these bodies won't last forever - as my medical condition has slowed me down - I know one day this body will just stop working - when that happens JESUS says not to fear! Just a reminder from GOD that we need to fear even when the earth is thrown into the sea and the stars fall from the sky - HIS message remains - do not fear!

Happy St. Patrick's Day - it's the annual green print!

18 - that's how many years I have know JESUS as my LORD and Savior - 18 years today - I gave my life to JESUS CHRIST after some very hard events took place in my life - first I lost my job - then totaled my car - then a tree hit my roof after a violent blizzard hit Alabama in March of 1993 - finally the last straw was seeing my Mother die at 55 years of age way before her time should have been up - all this together plus my love for music brought me to JESUS and all I could do was say - I surrender - what about you - what is your story? Why not share it with someone today? As I reflect on the past 18 years - I can only wonder what the next 18 will bring - I have come a long way - but yet there is still so far to go - 18 - I am still fairly young in my faith - but yet GOD has made it grow - by leaps and bounds - not to brag on me - but to brag on my LORD!
If you don't know JESUS CHRIST today you can - just repent of your sins - admit you have sinned and fall short of God's glory - and admit your need to for HIM and then trust HIM - that's it - give HIM your life today and share my re-birthday -

The Book Of Daniel (part 13)
DANIEL 3:12
There were certain Jews whom You have set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men. O king, have not regarded you, they serve not your gods, nor worship the golden imagine you have set up.

What these Jews went through in the book of Daniel is not unlike what we go through today - there are many idols that have been set up (entertainment - T.V. - Popularity - money - fame - power) just to name a few and people today are bowing down and worshipping the god of this world instead of the One True God! They serve these idols often unaware of the damming of their souls - they don't realize that by falling for these idols they miss the true God and sadly God who is loving is also holy and HE must judge sin - because HE is holy HE sent HIS only SON to die for our sins - you can turn from the idols in your life today and turn to JESUS CHRIST - today can be a new beginning for you - maybe you say you don't have any idols - pray about it - look closely at your life - see what you put before GOD and remove it from your life - this can be relationships that are not correct - not approved by God - maybe it's money - maybe it's some possession that you value more then GOD - when I did an inventory I was shocked at some of the idols that camped out in my life - I had to say enough - not that I am perfect - I still fall pray to the idols of this world- but GOD is over all - these three young men refused to bow down to idols - we must do the same!

The Book Of Daniel (part 12)
DANIEL 3:11
...and whosoever did not fall down and worship the idol shall be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

These are more words of warning to those who refused to bow down the golden imagine - the idol the king had set up as his god - the end of all this would be disaster for him - Daniel would have no part in bowing down to this idol - and neither did these three Jewish boys (which I will mention in Monday's devotional) the penalty for not obeying the king was surely death - what would we do if faced with this situation? What would we do - would we deny our LORD so we could please man - we may never be but in such a position - but we just might be - what would you do - this is not a mucho deal to see if you are tough enough to stand up against the king - but that you are humble enough to recognize all we have comes from GOD and there is no way we could deny our LORD when it came down to it!
Let's walk close to JESUS so that when and if the time comes for us to stand for our faith -we shall be ready!

WORD TO THE WISE:
Cast down the idols of your life and ask GOD to give you clean hands and a clean heart!

The Book Of Daniel (part 11)
DANIEL 3:10
...Thou, O king, has made a decree that every man shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, hard, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of music, shall fall down and worship the golden image.

The king has given his orders - this was totally against what GOD had called HIS people to do - but many in order to please the king and keep their lives- gave in - and bowed down - thus turning their back on GOD. It's sometimes hard to see the idols in our lives - but if we were honest we would admit we have placed something ahead of God - Daniel who I have been writing about for some time - was a man who was not concerned with the status que - he was not worried about what the king said - only what the KING of kings said! He obeyed GOD even when it hurt - and we will find he was not alone - so please pray about this - check your life - see if there is anything or anyone who is in front of GOD in your life - and move them back!
GOD wants all of us - totally - not left overs- GOD is alone worthy of our praise - be like Daniel and worship GOD and obey - even when the world around you does not! You may be the only example of JESUS to those around you today - live like HIM!

WORD TO THE WISE:
Anything that we put above GOD is an idol and must be rooted out and put in proper order!

The Book Of Daniel (part 10)
DANIEL 3:6
And whoever does not fall down to worship the image that same hour shall be cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

The day and age in which we live have parallels to this time during the book of Daniel - now a days it's not the furnace that we must fear - it's being taken away from our first love - I have known people and seen people so very close to God end up very far from Him - one compromise after another brings great distance between us and God - now don't misunderstand - in Christ our sins are forgiven - forever - the payment has been made - but because of this we should want to live lives that please God - but sadly we live in a world that hates God - and does not want to obey - the desires of the flesh too great - the spirit too weak - many give into the flesh because they cannot fight it any more -this is truth - without Christ and the Holy Spirit living in us -we could not stand up to sin and say no! This world wants our devotion - it wants us to bow down and worship - businesses around us have employees who lie -fight and steal to make it to the top - honesty is no longer a high thing to seek - and mouths that disrespect each other is the norm - things much change- we must no longer bow down to this world - we must worship JESUS alone - This is the beginning of a famous story in the Word- where three young men said they would not bow down - they would not give in - they would obey GOD no matter what - is that our attitude? Are we willing to follow JESUS when it gets tough - when it hurts? Allow GOD to change your heart so that we willingly follow our Savior to the ends of the Earth and into eternity!

WHEN WE FOLLOW JESUS - WE MUST LEAVE ALL BEHIND!

DANIEL 3:4-6
Then a herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded Oh people, nations & languages, that at that time that you hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer and all kinds of music that you fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchabnezzar the king hath set up.....

Again Daniel has a decision to make - does he chose to honor GOD and not bow down the image the king has commanded everyone to bow down to - if he choses the later - he cannot be used very much by God - matter of fact I am sure God would look else where - but as we have seen in the past couple of verses - Daniel is a man of convictions but unlike many today - he was a man of the right convictions - many these days have compromised so much - that what once was really considered bad - is not considered not so bad - you may even say that we don't bow down to images at all - but there are idols in our lives- like it or not -that's a fact - anything we put before our relationship with God becomes a stumbling block for us - we must serve GOD at all times -there is never a day off - Daniel as we shall see tomorrow -will do what's right and refuse to do as the earthly king has said so that he can follow the Heavenly King of Kings - now I am not saying we should go out and disobey the laws of the land - but you can do so if it goes against your faith in Christ - many these days are trying to take away any mention of God from our money - but it's the solid rock that our lives and built on and no one can take that way - sure they can take the physical things away but never the spiritual things - no man can stop God - Daniel is our example to stand up for what's right - not what's popular - do we compromise our faith so that we can please man? Lots of times I have seen it happen in my life - that must get less and less the longer we follow Christ - let's be like Daniel and so no to anything that goes against the truth we know in our hearts - given to us by God through His Word and His Holy Spirit!
Daniel won't bow to an idol - only to GOD -what about you?

The Book Of Daniel (part 8)
DANIEL 2:49
Then Daniel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel sat in the council chamber of the king.

Daniel is a good example for all of us to follow - while he became next in line to the king - he didn't allow it to cause him to get a big head - his power was granted from God and Daniel knew that - without God he knew he was nothing - so why get a big head he thought - the same can be said about leaders rather it be of corporations or of counties - being humble must be part of it - how many world leaders have allowed pride to take them down - great men who entered government positions often leave their faith behind for the thirst for power -Daniel didn't have this issue - sure the temptation was there but Daniel loved God more then the power he got from God and he used the power to bring God glory! What about us - you may say you are not a leader of anything - but oh you are - people are watching you -when you claim Christ as your Savior - the world begins to watch to see if it's real - to see if we REALLY Believe it! We must be sure to walk in the light of Christ at all times - sure temptation will come and we won't always be able to stand up against it - but if we fail we need to get back up on our feet and try again -serving God is not easy but it's the best life of all - Daniel knew this - and instead of using his power for personal gain -Daniel used it to serve God - we can learn a lot from Daniel!

WORD TO THE WISE:
Have you been put in a position over others? If so it would do you good to remember that without any trouble at all GOD could take it all away from you - live life that way - remember where you came from and where you are going!

The Book Of Daniel (part 7)
DANIEL 2:48
Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole providence of Babylon, and the chief of governors over all the wise men of Babylon!

Wow - how the tide turned for Daniel - he went from a prisonner to the ruler of Babylon - it didn't take long -when GOD has a place for you to be - it won't take HIM long at all to get you there -often times there will be hurdles to get in the way of the goal - sometimes God allows them so you will trust in HIM more then yourself - He alone is worthy of our praise - now I am not saying that if you do everything GOD says that your life will be smooth or that you will become the leader of your town or anything - but if it's God's will - it will happen - Daniel could have thrown in the towel and given up but he remained steadfast in his faith - he continued to trust in the LORD even when things didn't go according to his plan - God's plan should be our plan not the other way around - the question is do we REALLY trust HIM or do we just give HIM lip service - have you stepped back and taken a long look at your life to see where you stand -where you are going - and where you have been (what GOD has brought you through?)
why not take a moment today and look deeply at yourself - pray and ask GOD to reveal to you what HE wants you to know - where HE wants you to go and you can be like Daniel and keep the faith -
Daniel became a ruler not because of anything speical he did - he just listened and obeyed GOD and kept on following HIM - we should do the same thing -trust GOD like Daniel did!

If we put our trust in anyone or anything other then GOD will will miss the best for our lives!

The Book Of Daniel (part 6)
DANIEL 2:47
The king answered unto Daniel and said: Of a truth it is, that your GOD is a God of gods, and a LORD of kings, and a reveler of secrets, seeing that you could reveal this secret.

Today's verse reveals a secret for all of us who follow Christ to know - if you are real in what you say believe and show those around you that you really believe -some will be persuaded more by your life then by your words - the king had been watching Daniel and what he had done and how he lived out his faith - and once Daniel began to give the true answers to the king - the king noticed why that was - Daniel's believe in God and HIM alone! Daniel would not waver on his faith and neither should way - don't worry if you faith is not accepted to those around you - they may not be where you are - but no one is beyond saving - we all have the same chance - Jesus died once for all - everyone can came to know HIM today - no one is left out - the only thing that will leave you out is your choice - so keep living your faith out loud - don't worry about what those around you are doing - just do as GOD instructs you - mind your own business and allow GOD to use you - believe it not those around us notice our lives -they see how we live and it's by our actions they will see if our God is really real to us - or if it's just words - what does your life say about your faith? Do you come across as judgmental - unloving - or cruel - if people see that in us that will cause them to run away from us and our Savior - let's love them like JESUS loves us - let's show them the love of CHRIST that is within our lives - let's show them what it really means to follow after Christ! We are the living epistle to the world around us - what does your life say about JESUS? Let us daily ask ourselves this very question! The answer will show where you stand!

The Book Of Daniel (part 5)
DANIEL 2:23
I thank You, and praise You, Oh You God of my Fathers, who has given me wisdom and might, and has made known to me now what we have desired of You: for You has now made know unto us the king's matter!

Today's verse makes me think of the word credit - where I work (at a local newspaper) credit is given under each photo that runs in the paper - without this credit you would have no idea who shot the photo - that's why credit is given - also when stories are written -the sources must be given in order to show who wrote what and how to know if said article is true or not - it requires credit - in today's verse Daniel is giving GOD the credit that belongs to HIM alone - no man can stand on his own - without others to help them - no one could ever have anything worth wild - I think about working with children at my church - I credit GOD for the work HE is doing in me - I just love this so much - it makes me want to help more and more - it's an addiction but it is also a ministry - it's tough to have to deal with so many kids from broken families - many have gone through some very hard things at a very young age - it's sad but even so GOD has called people out of their comfort zones and called them to help - but the credit always belongs to GOD - if we take credit for something HE has done - we take some of HIS glory away - and GOD won't allow that - not because HE is power-hungry but because HE knows how much harm we could cause if we were in control - GOD'S way remains the best way - we must daily give GOD the glory - He is the one who gave us life - our families - our friends - our possessions - without HIM life would be meaningless - maybe you have been taken credit away from God without even knowing it - I sure have in the past and it's my hope never to do that again -

Let's dare to be like Daniel and always give GOD the glory for what HE has done in us! We are simply the vessel's GOD has chosen to use - Without HIM we would be nothing!

The Book Of Daniel (part 4)
DANIEL 2:22
He reveals the deep and secret things: He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him!

Daniel speaks the truth right here - GOD knows ALL things - nothing is hidden from HIS view - this however brings questions to our small finite human minds - if GOD knows all - why does HE not stop certain things from happen - from 911 - the Earthquake in Haiti - to the gun man opening fire in Tucson - why doe GOD not prevent these awful events from happening? In a word I don't know - wish I had something to say about knowing all the answers - or knowing when this world will end- but sadly I am just a man - I am nothing special - that is apart from GOD but in CHRIST I can do all things - GOD knows why certain things happen - HE has a plan and HE Is in control - to some this is not an answer at all - but yet it's the truth - GOD is in full control- HE never sleeps - HE never has to ask anyone about HIS world - for HE knows all things - Daniel has it right when he said that GOD even knows what's going on in the darkness -the enemy does not move without the eyes of GOD on him! The enemy of our souls can do nothing on his own - GOD must allow him to everything he does - but some people will say that -a good God won't allow bad things to happen - but GOD is better then anyone and this is HIS world not ours - we just borrow it - when Adam and Eve sinned - HE could have ended the world right then and there but HE didn't do that - why? GOD has a plan and that plan will get done in HIS time - you don't have to worry rather or not GOD will get HIS way - because in the end HE will - one issue I want to begin to talk about as we move further into the book of Daniel - and that is prophesy - many are worried and spend a lot time trying to pinpoint when Jesus will return - to me that's wasted time - it's not so important when Jesus will return - it's that He is coming back and every day we need to be ready - I am sure many will disagree with that - but that's my stance - let's worry more about being used to save the lost souls - then worrying about the exact date of Christ's return - GOD said only HE knew that day! Let's be like Daniel and give GOD the glory HE deserves - HE knows all things!

The Book Of Daniel (part 3)
DANIEL 2:20-21
Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of GOD for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are HIS: and HE changes the seasons, HE removes kings, and HE sets up kings: HE gives wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding!

I love the way Daniel expresses his thoughts in today's passage - GOD is in charge! HE is in control - we have peace in knowing this truth - today you may not feel like GOD is in control - but that does not matter - our feelings are not always true - the truth of the matter is bad things happen in this world - even with GOD on the throne - now HE could stop any bad thing from happening if HE wanted to - HE is sovereign and in full control - if it were not so this whole universe would not exist - it would just fall apart - GOD holds it all together - Daniel knew this so he knew no matter what anyone said - his mission was to obey this GOD who is in control - Daniel knew his help came from GOD and was secure in that fact - the king could do anything he wanted to do to Daniel - but GOD would have to give the green light - nothing happens to us that GOD does not allow - sure we can make bad choices and those choices can cause us trials - but many times we could do nothing to avoid a trial - GOD knows what HE is doing - we must trust HIM anyway! God showed Daniel favor - and because of that - the king asked of Daniel what his dream meant and because Daniel was blessed by GOD - he was the only one who could really interrupt the king's dreams and when he did - he was looked up to by the king and appointed to be the king's personal dream revealer - GOD put Daniel in this place because HE knew best - what about you? Are you in a place you don't want to be - wait on the LORD - allow HIM to show you what to do - HE will if you allow HIM too! Be like Daniel - trust in the GOD who is in control!

The Book Of Daniel (part 2)
DANIEL 1:9
Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.

When you obey GOD - rich blessings will come your way - but please note - we can obey GOD and still go through many trials - because God's goal is to make us like HIS Son - Jesus!
Daniel did what GOD told him to do and found favor - just like Paul and Silas found favor with the prison guard - we don't deserve favor - but GOD gives as HE deems best- HE knows what HE is doing - for HE has always been- Daniel listened to GOD and it brought blessings to him - but soon we shall see this obedient servant of the most High God going through some of the hardest things in his life - note that it was after he found favor that the trials started - the same in our lives - often we want to know why something has happened to us - bad things happen in this sin-filled world - it's hard to comprehend just how evil we are in the flesh apart from the redemptive work of CHRIST - Daniel understood his position before GOD and because of that did as he was commanded by God - what about us - has God asked you to do something but you are resisiting Him due to fear of the unknown - God wants us to trust HIM and one way this can be seen is when we obey HIM! it's simple - just obey GOD at all times - be like Daniel - and blessing will flow your way - but again many times those blessings are not what we are working towards - what we must work towards is an intimate relationship with CHRIST - allow GOD to mold you today - into HIS idea for your life - be like Daniel - live for GOD and obey HIM always!

WORD TO THE WISE:
GOD Will never bless your sin - only your obedience!

The Book Of Daniel (part 1)
DANIEL 1:8
But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, not with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

Welcome to the book of Daniel - I feel by far this will be one of my greatest challenges in this ministry - this book is tough - but it's the truth and it's all God's word - so without further delay - here is the book of Daniel!

Alabama was hit with 12" of snow yesterday and last night - we are buried and cannot leave our homes - but it's made for a good time for families to spend some quality time together - I am just thankful to have power and to be able to send this out! GOD is good -

Daniel - the man of this book - was a man who loved GOD with all his heart - now I won't say he was a prefect men - only JESUS was perfect but Daniel took a stand for GOD - he refused to eat the meat offered up to idols - he refused to drink the wine he was offered - he took a stand for GOD, and he was willing to keep it up as long as GOD called him too - to do without things is not something the people of the 21st century like to do - but Daniel was willing to go without food - now I am not suggesting we do that - but we can give up the things of this world for GOD! Daniel would end up in jail - he would end up being put in the lions - and the king expecting death - got a surprise - I will go into that story soon -
I am not sure how long this series may take - I ask for your prayer - I want this to be a simple study - GOD is with us in this - Let's focus in on Daniel and his life - since he has my name I am honored to be named Daniel! Taking a stand for GOD is not easy but something we all must do - Daniel could have eaten the meat offered to him - but he would not have been true to himself or to his GOD! We serve the same GOD today - what in your life do you think HE is calling you to sacrifice - remember doing what HE says does not gain you salvation -that was done on the cross! JESUS paid that price - Daniel would been renamed - and would tell the king about his dreams - in a remarkable turn of events -Daniel will go from the lions den to the kings greatest servant! GOD can do that in our lives as well - just because you may be in one place now - does not mean you will stay there - the end of the story is not yet here for you - trust GOD like Daniel did!
Daniel: A man who loved GOD more then things of this world!

God Made

I praise YOU because YOU made me in an amazing and wonderful way! What YOU have done is wonderful!

In today's verse it's no surprise that the YOU is GOD alone! HE alone made you and me - HE alone allowed us to be alive at this point in History - He made us for just a time like this - the news has been grim for many this year - unemployment is all over the place -people losing their homes - and their health insurance - we could spend a lot of time focused on the bad news - but it's almost CHRISTmas! It's time to view a little glimpes of Heaven - JESUS came from HIS heavenly throne to live as one of us - a poor servant - without even a home or bed to lay on - our LORD was homeless! The amazing thing is GOD made us - HE could have had HIS SON born in a palace but HE chose a stable (or as some say a cave) in any case it was not the ideal place for us to pick to give birth - but GOD always knows better - HE made us - we are not some cosmic accident - we are GOD made - no matter what the governement mandated text books say - we didn't come crawing out of the sea - for if we did - why is there still sea crud in the sea? We are GOD made! Remember that next time you get angry at someone - next time you treat someone badly - what you do to them you do to God! Let's keep this in mind as we shop - lets give up our rights for others - let's see everyone as God made - God loves that drug addict that seems without hope - that homeless man - God even loves the child abuser the rapeist - yes that is hard for us to understand - but the pure reason is GOD made us - sure HE hates our sin - but never confuse that with GOD hating the sinner-
WE ARE ALL GOD MADE!

HIM FIRST - THE REST WILL BE ADDED!

MATTHEW 6:33
Seek you first the kingdom of GOD, and all these things shall be added unto you!

The world around is vying for our attention - advertisements are pushed on us left and right - music is played to change our mood - we are always being bombarded by outside influences - many things vie for our time and our attention - what will win out? God's Word says to seek HIS kingdom and everything else will be added to you - but we often fail to do that in the course of the day - oh I don't believe we do it on purpose - we just lose focus - we don't continually fall for JESUS! We don't always put HIS kingdom first - but we put ourselves first - that is human nature - if we are going to serve JESUS we have to die to self - it's not optional - when you fall for JESUS you do just that - you leave all else behind and follow- no matter how unpopular - no matter how painful - there has been too much softening of the gospel - it's tough - the world does not want to follow CHRIST and they will fight you tooth and nail - it's an all out war - what side do you stand on? Many want to preach a gospel that is full of lace - well the truth is the gospel is tough - it's hard for a dying and sinful world to realize they need JESUS until we tell them - well better yet - we need to show them with our lives - that will speak the loudest! Have you really fallen for JESUS? If not HE is waiting for you - won't you take HIM at HIS word today?
He loves you He came from heaven to earth to save you - He died on the cross to pay your sin debt - it's been finished by JESUS - why keep trying to do it on your own? JESUS paid the price in full - that's what it means to fall for JESUS - giving all the rest up and putting HIM first - seek HIS kingdom and everything else will be added to you! Fall for JESUS! HE is waiting for you to take the dive! Come on in the water will cleanse your very soul!

Let GOD be true, and every man a liar.

This verse seems harsh - but it's true - GOD is true - that is always true - for HE cannot lie - HE is the only one who won't ever lie to you - but man will - we all have lied - and if you say you have not - you are a lair right then and there - and it's not me saying that - it's God! We can trust GOD for He never changes - when you fall for JESUS - you will find a friend that is closer then any one else - one that will never ever leave you - nor forsake you - but when you fall - you must let HIM catch you - it's like a child and a parent - the child must trust the parent enough to fall back and know they will catch them - I remember as a child going to the pool - I would jump into my Dad's arms - I would not jump if I didn't see him - only when He was near would I jump and even them I had to keep calling out to him for the asurance that He would catch me - GOD will catch us - HE loves us so much - He made us and then made a way for us through His Son Jesus! Fall for JESUS - as you see the leaves fall from the trees and the colors of autumn - it should remind us that while the leaves fall now - the hope of spring is there - the buds for tomorrow are already formed in hopes of Spring - you know the trees could be faithless and not put out those buds and just wait and see what the weather will be like - they don't do that - they prepare in advance - I mean it's not even winter yet - yet the buds are there -and one day they will open and the whole cycle will begin again -the same goes for us - we must prepare for tomorrow and one way of doing that is falling for JESUS - allow HIM to be your all in all - your very life -fall for JESUS and you will stand forever with HIM!
Spring is coming beloved - even if winter is not yet here!

Tomorrow is not yet here - yesterday is gone -
what we have is today! Fall for JESUS today!

A FATHER'S LOVE

PSALM 103:13
He is like a Father to us, tender and sympathetic to those who reverence Him!

How many of us can say we had a close relationship with our fathers? The role of a Father is a very important one - while Mothers birth the children and nurture them - without a Father -a child is incompete - this is not a slam toward single parents - but the truth is God's plan for child rearing is the best plan - in a perfect world all children would have a mom and a dad living at home - but we don't live in a perfect world- many are now born out of wedlock - many to teen parents were are not equiped to care for them - all this shows the effects of sin and doing things our way instead of God's way - God is the Father to the father-less - and it's a good thing too - these days when so many marriages end in divorce and people are so consumed with themselves that they don't give their children what they need - its hard to see so many children short changed - not having two parents - now I will say I have seen some parents who have regretabley gone through divorce and still maintain as normal as possiable family life - with GOD all thing are possiable - today's devotional is about falling for JESUS in the way that JESUS wants to love us like a Father - we all need the Father's love - for without it we all would writher up and die - fall for JESUS because of HIS great love for the children of the world - once you fall for JESUS you will have all you need!

This series is about common people who found JESUS and fell for HIM and their lives were never the same - The lady at the well lived a life without JESUS and she never knew it - she really didn't know she was missing JESUS that fateful day - she had to get a common every day need fullfilled and what she ended up with was a fullfilling life with CHRIST at the center -she was living a life of faithlessness - instead of faithfulness - JESUS met her right where she was - and she was never ever the same - the main problem is people have no idea they really need JESUS - they know they need something and they go around trying many things to fill the void but nothing works- it's still a big empty space inside that nothing in this world can fill - it's a space reserved for JESUS!
We all need HIS living water in our lives - without it we thrist - we are needy - groping in the dark for something to bring us what only the light of JESUS can bring us -
FALL FOR JESUS - have you fallen for JESUS? If not today you can fall for HIM - your life can change today forever! Fully Clothed

Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness & patience!

I bet that today's headline got some attention - it made you want to look inside the email to see what this one was all about - it's about being fully clothed - it's about being ready to serve the LORD each and every moment of every day - it means being complete in Christ and allowing HIM to live through - I admit often I don't let Jesus rule my life - I rule it - I want my way on my terms - this makes it difficult for JESUS to shine through our lives - we must be willing to step aside and allow JESUS to redress us - often we put on the clothes of pride - of hate - of anger - of selfishness - we must allow JESUS to strip those away and allow HIM to put on the new garments of Praise - of Love - of Joy - of Peace - of Longsuffering -those are the clothes we must be redressed in - with Thanksgiving coming and Christmas on the horizon - this is the time of the year when people start to get it - too bad they put it away again by January when it's needed the most - Let's allow GOD to dress us each day - HE knows what it is best for us to ware - HE made us! What kind of clothes are you waring today? If they are not the garments from JESUS - then they are not good enough! Without HIS garments - we could only bring death - but because of JESUS we have life! Get dressed - fully dressed today!

Turn Around
Matthew 5:39
Resite not evil: but whosoever shall smite you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.

These words of Jesus are very tough for us to understand - as human beings it's not natural for us to allow ourselves to be mistreated - we have been taught to stand up for oursleves - not to take any flack from others and right here our Lord says - to turn the other cheek! What!? We cannot do this in our power and it's all about love like yesterday's devotional said - we are to always be about love - but how far do we take it? Are we willing to allow someone we disagree with to have our forgiveness - afterall we don't deserve to be forgiven ourselves - we have an odd calling in Christ to be unlike the world around us - while the world puts self on the throne - we have been called to keep CHRIST there - it's HIS throne not ours - We belong to HIM not the other way around - often we make HIM what we want HIM to be - instead of who HE really - the scary thing about this how much do we really know GOD? We have been taught many things and some of it is not correct - but because of history - or tradition of man -we have accepted it as truth - without finding the truth from JESUS - one thing we cannot get pass is God's calling for us in Christ Jesus to love the lost and dying around us - when did it get to the us vs them mentality - Christ was never like that - HE loved all - we are called to do the same - believe me it won't be easy at all - Following Christ means we must come to that place in our lives when we are willing to die to self completey and allow GOD to totally rule our lives - I know I am not yet there but there has been days I have been really close - not to brag since it's not in my own power but in the power of Christ who lives in me and through me! - but those days are far and inbetween and the more we walk with Christ the more those days of complete surrender and submission we will have!

WORD TO THE WISE:
If someone wrongs you - JESUS says respond in love -offer them whatever they have not harmed - and even if they go ahead and harm that -GOD will be pleased with you!

Love For Others

PHILIPPIANS 1:9
My prayer for you is that you will overflow more
and more with love for others.

When we say we love GOD - we must show it by loving others - and doing this is tough at times- because we seem to always find people who are not very lovable - we ourselves are not loveable all the time either- but the WORD says what does it profit to love those who love you back -the love GOD has for us is diffrent then the love we have for HIM and others - it should not be this way! We should love GOD with all we have - and in doing so we will love others - if you are not interested in loving others - maybe you need to check to see if you love GOD and know HIM through JESUS! We must be able to love the most unloveble if Christ in fact lives in us - He wants to love others through us - He wants us to love others as HIS hands and feet - we do this when we love - loving is not easy often but it's worth it - we must love others if we love GOD - it's part of the deal! Loving others should be something we just do - not something we have to think about - loving others should come naturally if we are loving GOD! God made everyone you will run into today - they are all HIS children -rather they know it or not - my heart was broken tonight when I went to send this out and I got en email from a girl who was walked away from JESUS - I felt lead to contiune to send this to her daily - but she wrote me today and told me it was a waste of time to send these to her - out of love I was sending them - but since she ways she does not want them - out of love I had to quit sending these to her - that may seem counter productive but GOD is in control - HE is going after the lost among us - those lost need to be loved by us who are found - it's not an us vs them thing - we are all in need of JESUS - everyone we come in contact today needs the love of JESUS - are we loving GOD by loving others? If not - pray about it - GOD will bring you people to love - all you have to do is ask! The rest will come naturally out of our relationship with JESUS!

Young not Little

1st Timothy 4:12b
Don't let anyone to think little of you because you are young. Be thier ideal; let them follow the way you teach and live!

As one who works with kids at my church - I am one of the first to admit I have learned way more from them then they have learned from me - and yet this segment of the church is often ingnored - after all they are not a part of the big church - where the important stuff happens - right? Wrong! They are the church of tomorrow - they are the future of God's ordained Bride! We are to show them what we know more then telling them what we know! They learn by be shown! Let no one look down on you because of your youth - the youth matter -they are living example of Christ - I have seen much love between members in a youth group - sure they dress funny and listen to funny music- but didn't we when we were their age? They are our leaders of the church of tomorrow - They are young - but not little - they do matter and we must listen to what they say - God's word says that out of the mouth of babes wisdom will be given - let's not look down on a young person just because they don't have it all together yet - none of us have arrived - I guess I have seen so many kids afraid to say anything for fear of being wrong - is that the atmosphere we want in God's house? I think not - we must listen to them - and validate what they say - I have learned so much from the kids I teach weekly - I have seen JESUS with feet in these classes - I have seen the love between the children - yes they fight and fued a lot - but so do we - remember to listen to the young around you - they just might teach us a thing or two!

Walk

EPHESIANS 2:10
For we are HIS workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which GOD has prepared in advance, that we should walk in them!

I have heard it said that God don't make junk! And since HE made us - it goes to reason that none of us is worthless - we are worth such a high price to God, He willingly gave up HIS one and Only Son to save our souls from hell! God created us all for a purpose - all of our lives have meaning or at least they should - we were made to glorify GOD with our lives - the question is what are we doing with lives to get that acomplished? it will look different for each of us - but whatever it is GOD has a plan for your life - you can count on it - so what is our job? Walk with GOD with your very life - give HIM all you got - that's it basically - I don't come to you today with persasive words - I come to you with a simple message - if you want to know God's purpose for you life - simply follow HIM and walk the way HE walks! He will show you how if you just put your total trust in HIM and none in yourself - one of the greatest problems in the church today is people depending on theirsleves and others instead of GOD - now don't get me wrong - we are to be HIS hands and feet but others can only do so much - and we alone cannot do anything - GOD says apart from HIM we can do nothing! (John 15:5) We must be willing to admit we cannot do it on our own - my message for you today is this - Walk with GOD - that's it - just walk with GOD - follow HIM not people - I am learning this the hard way - people will let you down -people where not made to worship only JESUS was - if this message steps on some toes - good! That's the purpose! Praise the name of the ONE who died for us and gave us life -HE is the one we find our purpose in and no one else!!!!!

More Then Conquerors

ROMANS 8:37
In all things we are more then conquerors through HIM that loves us!

If I could take a pole right now - how many of you would say you feel weak right now? Do you feel like you have what CHRIST has given you? Or do you feel like you have nothing more to give? I heard it said by a friend today that they no longer want just enough - they want more then enough - they want all that GOD has for them - not for selfish reasons but to help others - what's our attiude like? Do we understand and seek after GOD and HIS strength or do we try to pull ourselves up by our bootstaps and do it ourselves? We must come to a point where we see that we need GOD and we cannot do anything apart from HIM - with that said - in CHRIST we are more then conquerors! We have the victory now one for us on Calvary by Jesus our Lord - we have that now because HE died for us - in our place - as sin - HE never once commited - we have this victory now over the grave - over hell and over the grave - with this victory won for us - we can do all things through CHRIST! We are a powerful nation - we have been equipped by GOD to do good works! HE has made us this way for a purpose -we must know our place in the Church - God will show us if we ask HIM! We must be about HIS business and HE will take care of our business! We are more then conquerors - notice how GOD says more then conquerors - in HIM we are MORE then conquerors - that is how sure our victory in CHRIST is!!
Celebrate this victory today with a life sold out to GOD through JESUS - allow HIS life to be reflected in yours -
that's what we are here for - to bring glory to GOD so others will know HIM like we know HIM!
We are victorious - lets go out and live this promise!

Unmoveable

1st Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brethern,
be you steadfast; unmovable!

Our faith should be unmovable - when times get hard -we should run into the arms of JESUS and no where else- there is no where else to go! Do we allow circumstances - people - problems- health issues - or anything else get in the way of our faith in JESUS? Do we all the world to mold us instead of JESUS? if we do - then our life won't be all it can be in JESUS! HE wants our lives to be a reflection of Him - often times we compermise our faith in order to go by the world's rules - no more should we do this - I admit here often I have allowed people to rule over me instead of JESUS - this should not be so - it must end now! We must be unmoveble - unwavering in our faith - nothing can take us away from JESUS unless we all it to take us away - satan has no power over us - but we give him the power to take us away from our first love JESUS - I have seen some lives that once were sold out to JESUS to now only seem like a small glow of a light that used to burn brightly for JESUS - I say a glow because I believe once you are saved - you are saved - no matter what - if you truely know JESUS you are born again and nothing can undo that! With that said - if you know someone who was really saved and now is walking in a way that is without faith - there will still be a glow of JESUS in their lives - the light won't go out completely - and there is always hope - we got to stand up strong for our weaker brothers and sisters in Christ - we must be the example for them to see JESUS alive in us! We must be unmovable - and if we happen to move away from JESUS we must repent and go right back to HIM - one issue we all face is guilt - feeling like we cannot even approach JESUS - it's true we are sinners and don't deseve anything - but yet JESUS gaves us everything we will ever need!be unmovable in your faith - and you will move mountains!

Today's verse talks about fruit - God expects His children to produce good fruit - and He has the right to inspect the fruit we produce because after all He created us for good works! Today I want to look at one aspect of the Holy Fruit we are to produce - today's focus is patience - I guess you have heard the joke about never asking for patiences because GOD will allow some things to come into your life to show you if you are patient or not! :-) When we accept CHRIST as our Lord and Savior - we get all of HIS SPIRIT - and with HIS MIGHTY SPIRIT - we get all the things that will help us produce the righteous fruit HE is looking for - this included patience! Yeah I am the first to admit at times I don't use what I got! I get in a rush and get to the point of not relying on GOD and just wanting to be some where very quickly - I have all the patience I need in CHRIST but must choose to live in it! JESUS wants our fruit to bring HIS FATHER GLORY! God made us to bring HIMSELF glory - not that HE needs us - HE wants us! Allow to GOD to give you all that is HIS! HE has offered it to us all - we just got to accept HIM and HIS word and allow HIS SPIRIT to live in and through us!

With God's Spirit living in us - we cannot help but produce good fruit - fruit that brings God praise!

More Then Words
1st JOHN 3:18
Let us not love in word or speech
but in deed and in truth!

Often times we can say a great many things - we can proclaim the truth - we can praise GOD - we can love others with our mouths - but at the end of the day - do we do more?
Do we put action to our words? Or are our words empty! Jesus calls us to love others with more then words - it's easy to bless someone by saying something good to them - but putting action to those words is far better - many times I have seen the poor and the needy come to me with a need - I have to admit there have been times I have turned them down - not because I didn't have the money but because I didn't want to be bothered - I admit it - and I know it was wrong - I did bless them with words but not with action - now this is not to say this should be a legalisic thing - there will be times when the only thing we can do is speak the words of JESUS to someone in need - but again there will be times when we are able to do more then speak words - those are the times we need action behind our words - believe it or not the world around us is checking us out - when we proclaim we know JESUS they want to see what it's all about - they want to see a difference between us and the world - they also check out our words and our actions checking to see if they match - there have been times I did more then speak words and it was such a blessing - We need more then words to love like JESUS! How is your life compare to your words? Think about that today!

Fathers

Psalm 127:4-5

Children born to a young man are like sharp arrows to defend him. Happy is the man who has his qiver full of them.

It takes a special kind of man to be a Father - anyone who is able can father a child - but not everyone can be a Father -
But those who are Fathers by this diffintion are truly blessed! Being a father is more then just having a child - it takes commitment - it takes a life-long love - it take a lot of faith and it take mentoring - many before you have had children and they can tell you a thing or two about it - I want to have children - but that may not be God's plan for me - I love this verse about how children can be a weapon to protect the Father - never thought of it that way - what makes a Father? A Father is someone who loves with all he has- a father is one who puts his needs behind those of others - a Father is one to do without while his children do with - it's about giving your all for the sake of these children - even Sunday school teachers play a roll - I should know - I got to attend a birthday party for my best buddy - Micah - he is 8 years old soon to be 9 - in any rate I have gotten to become really close to this young man - it's been a blessing - I can begin to see a little about what it means to be Father in that - being a Father means that you do what you have to do for your family - for your children - you can have many children but without JESUS in the center it won't make a world of difference -
Being a Father is a tough job but it's very rewarding - maybe you are about to become a Dad for the first time -maybe you are worried about what kind of exampl you will set with your children -good - that's the way to be - we must show them our Love and not just tell them we love them - we must show it - a Father is one who not only speaks love but shows it!
To the Fathers out there - be blessed - what you have is a blessing - children are a blessing from God! Love them like that! God bless you Fathers!

HOSEA 1:10
You are the sons of the living GOD!

Sometimes it's easy to forget who we are - more important than that is Whos we are! We often forget in our day to day lives that we are children of the King! We are royality in HIM!
He has given us preicous promises - He said He is buidling each of us a manison in heaven! He has given us HIS grace and HIS SON- withholding nothing from us- Remember the story of the prodeigal son? The Father (GOD) was waiting for His son's return - the same thing goes for us - many of us may feel very far from God - maybe you have gone down a road you didn't mean to go down - maybe you are far from your Father GOD - maybe you feel there is no way back!I have good news for you today - turn around - walk no run to your Father and you will see a GOD who wants to embrace you - He does not want to harm you - HE loves you like no one else - whereever you are - just turn around and run back to HIM! Today you can be restored with your Father - today your life can change - there is no shame in JESUS - He does not want to condemn you - He loves you - believe or not - He loves you more then anything else in all creation - God made it all - but we are special - He made us diffrent then anything else- only we can have a personal realtionship with - nothing else is all creation can - today you can be a child of the King - just turn from your sin and run to GOD - He is waiting for you!

Now One

Ephesians 5:28
For since a man and his wife are now one, a man is really doing himself a favor and loving himself when he loves his wife!

Marriage is God's institution - HE created it to form the family and to GOD once a man and woman are married they are now one - physically - mentally - spiritual - they are one - and GOD says let no one separate them! Why then do Christ followers have the same divorce rate as the lost world around us? this should not be so - we should be the example -
and I understand what it's like to lose that bond - how that once it's over it tares two people apart who are ONE - this should not be so - many marriages right now are in serious trouble - temptations abound - men not loving their wives like Christ loved the church and wives not willing to submit to their husbands - you have two different people become one - that's tough - we are not the same , men and women - we look at life in a totally different way - God made us the way HE did for HIS purpose - God's plan for marriage works - the worlds does not - now after salvation we are still human and I know now there were many things I lacked in my marriage that I had no idea about at the time - I have learned so much through the trial of divorce - and there is life after divorce as well - I never thought it would happen to me - but it did - and I am now here to help those who struggle as well - it has been the single hardest thing to ever happen to me - my ex wife is now walking a road that is away from God and that breaks my heart - please pray for her - thank you - God has a plan for marriage and it's the best plan - God never intended for a man and women to get married and then divorce that is not HIS plan at all - with that however let me say that if you are in an abusive marriage - you should get away from your mate ASAP and even separation in such a case is ok with GOD - what i have heard some say that you should stay with such a person - I don't think God expects anyone too - He knows each circumstance - the bottom line is GOD has made those who marry one - and this oneness makes for a good marriage - the main problem is after a couple of years - the feelings seem to get less and less - all those fun times you had during the courting and dating start to lesson - you have gotten the girl - and the girl now has a husband - now what!?

GOD HAS CALLED THOSE WHO ARE MARRIED TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS CHRIST LOVES HIS PEOPLE!

MARRIAGE IS IN TROUBLE - take a moment and pray for those you know who are married!

Look To Jesus

HEBREWS 12:2
Let us fix our eyes on JESUS!

The WORD of GOD tells us to fix our eyes on JESUS!
We must look to HIM for everything - remember Peter on the lake? As long as he kept his eyes fixed on JESUS he was staying on the water - but one glance to the left or to the right and Peter began to sink - he cries out for JESUS to save HIM and HE does - this is a message for all of us who claim to know CHRIST - when we are first saved our eyes never seem to leave HIM but it seems the longer we walk with HIM to easier it is to try and walk the water on our own - we cannot do it apart from JESUS and HE has never asked us to - HE has told us in HIS word HE would never leave us or forsake us - He said He would meet our needs - He said in HIM we will have like and abundant life at that! Where we focus our eyes determines the direction our lives are gonna take - focus on self and you will become selfish - focus on others and GOD will use you for HIS purpose - focus on GOD and other - you fulfill the law! Our focus must be solely on JESUS - I know this is hard for there many other things for eyes to gaze on - not that those things are wrong in and of themselves - but what is wrong when they become our MAIN focus - if anything takes the place of JESUS in our lives -it's nothing more then an idol - I have had to learn the hard way that I have idols in my life but praise GOD, Jesus is losing my grip on them - I have gone though a season of heartbreak - a season of trying to find my path through this life - I have questioned my faith - I have wondered why GOD allowed so much pain in my life -the simple answer is because He loves me - because HE knows best - I had made some choices that were not the best ones I am learning now - I have learned so much during this time of learning - the best thing I learned is JESUS is faithful no matter what - I tried to run from HIM but as a Shepherd does with his sheep - He scooped me up and put me on level ground - where my eyes can now see HIM more clearly - where are your eyes looking - what are you viewing? Are you seeing JESUS through the eyes of faith or the eyes of doubt? Keep your eyes fixed on the SON! And you will shine!

Pray Like Breathing

Pray without ceasing!

I was listening to a song as I found today's verse - the song was called Pray like Breathing - the singer made a good point that our prayer life should be as natural as breathing is - we should come to a place where we don't even have to think about praying - it's that we just do it - no matter what - we have a quiet time with God every day - not in a legalisic way - but in the way of love - we are to pray like breathing! We are to give our all to GOD when we go to our knees - we never stand taller with GOD then when we bow on our knees before the King of King - I read a devotional that talked about dwelling in the shaow of JESUS all the time - spending our lives in constant communcation with GOD through JESUS!
We are called to the Throne Room but how often to we actually go there -sometimes we get busy with life -busy with trying to please people all the while leaving God out of the equation called our lives - we must give GOD praise in our prayers - we must lift up the name of JESUS and pray beliving that GOD does answer prayer - He is still on HIS thorne and has never moved not even once - HE is faith so go to HIM in prayer - go to your prayer closet and seek out GOD not for attention from others but to have a personal and intimate encounter with GOD! Pray like breathing!

Love does not demand it's own way.
It is not irritable or touchy.

There is a popular comic in most newspapers - it's called Love Is - in it there are little snippets of love - a boy and girl share love with each other and each day a new Love Is appears - What does GOD say about love? He says that love does not demand it's own way - how many times have we demanded someone form someone? Love is not irritable or touchy - boy -how many times have we gotten very upset with those we love - love is not easy - but it's the best - often the people we love we often don't like - and God knew that would be how love would be - how is your love? Have you been loving today? or is today one of those days you wanted to just stay in bed and let the world go by!? In any case real biblical love is love that always brings glory to God and always seeks the best for the other person - it's about putting their needs ahead of your own - when this happens - love works well - anything less is not really love - love does not cause any harm to another person - love is what lead GOD to send HIS Son and it should be love that motivates us to do what GOD calls us to do - Love is patient and kind - but often in our course of life we can become any thing but patient and kind - when we have a bad day - it's hard to love - but love is what we must do - we must love others and GOD - and we will fulfill the whole law - believe me you cannot love others apart from God's love - His love motivates us to even love those who wish us harm - let's die to self and live for GOD!
Love is the most amazing thing - but can also but one of the toughest things to do - but do it anyway! Love is amazing! Love is Great - Love is wonderful -

Happy is that people whose God is the Lord!

Are you happy? Can you really say that you are happy? True happiness comes from knowing JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOR! That's were joy comes from! When He is our love our lives are different from those around us - we can have joy no matter the circumstances if we know the ONE who is in control of it all - when you trust JESUS - you don't have to worry about what is gonna happen to you - GOD will take care of those details -our job is to just trust HIM no matter what! Many times we will only trust HIM When things go our way - that is not faith at all - that is seeing and believing - we cannot believe based on what we see -what we hear - or waht we know intellecturally - it's who we know!
If you don't have a personal relationship with Christ you won't ever find true happiness - God will not allow it!
We must surrender all to JESUS in order to be free from the entanglements of this world! This place is however passing by - it will soon be good and all we will have is our faith - faith that brings us life - love and joy! Are you trusting in anything other then Christ for true happiness - for many happiness is the next gadget to occupy their time - the new wife to replace the old one that things didn't work out wiht -
the new job to replace the one with all the problems- soon to find the new one has different problems but problems none the less - you will never be satisifed with this world - it's not our home - JESUS wants us to long for HIM - HE loves us with a love we cannot understand - if you want to be happy trust in JESUS - HE will be with you always!

Today's verse reminds us that we serve a personal God - He is not some higher power that we cannot personally connect to - HE is personal - HE knows us by relationship - HE made us for relationship between HIMSELF and us - and others - God made us this way to need inneraction with others -
God made us to personally know HIM! And because of this HE can personally bless us - HE is not some unknowable force that we cannot relate too - no! HE showed us in HIS SON Just who HE is! Jesus showed us who GOD is! You can know HIM today right now in a personal way - HE is our personal savior - He saves each one of us personally - you can have a real realtionship today with the GOD of all creation - just ask HIM for it -He wants to know you personally - He wants a relationship with you - though our sin seperated us from HIM - HIS Son brought us back to the point of having a real lasting relationship with GOD Himself - Do you want to be personally blessed? Know GOD personally! He is waiting for you to act!
HE has already made a way where there was no way before!

Oh, remember how short you have made man's lifespan. No man can live forever..

Today's verse is another reminder that this is not our home, not that some of us need any reminder - many of us may have some physical aliements - that remind us this is not our home! That our life here is short and our bodies are passing away even now! The good news is our home is yet to come - the bad news is we must contiune on here until God calls us home -which is not a bad thing at all - God has given us this life as a gift - this is a trial run for eternity - we are all going to leave this world one day - and it won't be long says the writer of psalms 89 - At one time people lived a lot longer - but pollution and other factors limit our lives - but there is something more imporant in this - God determines the length of our days! He knows when He is calling us home - often we seem to act like we have all the time in the world and that death is just for others and not us - but the truth is we all have to face death sooner then later - last year I lost my dad and it was tough - he lived a nice long life - leaving this world at age 75 - he filled those 75 years with a lot of things! He lived out his dash well - do you know about the dash? it's not the birthdate and day of departure that are important - it's the dash that is in between those two dates? what are you doing with your dash?

This past Sunday our pastor talked about the power of the tongue - how all it takes is a word to harm someone very badly - our mouths are the door way to what's in our heart - what we say - says a lot more about us then we might thing - Often in today's society you will hear things you didn't used to hear - you cannot watch a sitcom without hearing at least one word that we would not want our children to hear - or would we feel comfortable if our pastor would walk in during such a show - my purpose today is not to slam anyone for we all are guilty - but what's the answer? I believe it is found in today's verse- let's ask GOD to guard our lips! HE will do that because He loves us - and He knows it's not what goes into a man that defiles him - it's what comes out - and what is buried deep in our hearts will enviably come out - trying to erase the damage of words is very tough - words can end relationships and start wars - words can break up dear friendships and cause people to lose their family - words have the power to save and condemn - have you thought about what your words are saying! I was convicted when the subject of GOSIP came up - I was at first like this - surely I don't GOSIP - but the more I thought about it I sadly found it to be true - but I confessed and moved on - asking GOD to guard my lips - He is all we need to have control over our mouths - but we must give them over to HIM - allowing HIM to change our hearts thereby change our speech!

A song by the group NewSong is called "God made man" in this song it talks about walking the faithful walk with our Father God - it takes of HIS great love for HIS creation - we must remember HE made us - and HE made us in HIS imagie - we must remember this when dealing with others - we must love them because we all were created in God's image - we where wonderfully and fearly made says God's word! God made man because HE wanted to show us HIS great love - you know HE could have just decided to not make us - after all HE knew what we would do before HE made us! One of the greatest problems in today's society is that human life is not as preious as it once was - it seems the price of a human being has gone way down - look at the lack of respect children have for their parents, employee's for their their employees and many see an unborn baby as just a choice- not the life GOD put in there - GOD formed us in our mother's womb - we are made by GOD and HIS fingerprints are all over creation -we are GOD made - HE is the creator and we are HIS creation - let's worship this GOD who choise to make us - let's worship HIM as the GOD HE is - we are GOD made!

It's been said that GOD is love! It's also been said that the message of the gospel is all about love! We are called to love each other! Jesus said that we would show this lost and dying world the truth by our love - our love will declare that we love JESUS - without love - life would be without meaning - we would have no reason to get up in the morning - I am learning a lot about love lately - God has called me to Children's ministry - and I have not experanced such love as I have working with these kids - they are watching and seeing if what I say and what I do match - that is a challange but one that GOD has equipped us to - I have gotten more hugs and more smiles when I have ever! Love is what keeps this world going round and round - Love is what brought JESUS from the throne room to earth and back! Love is what motivated GOD to create it all in the first place - HE loves us with HIS very best - HE gave us HIS Son - He gave us life - all for love - the Word says that we can do many things - but without love it's all worthless - Love should be our motivation - love for GOD and love for others - we are called to love one another - yesterday in church I learned about the tougnue and how it cannot be tamed - and in it are the power of life and death- are we being loving with our toungue and our lives? We must be all about love! Lets love one another so that the world will see the diffrence in our lives so we way bring GOD glory! Love one another and there by love GOD!

In our busy lives we often fail to take the time to develope good relationships with others - we often fail to put that much effort in getting to know those whom God has placed around us - often it's tough to delevelop good relationships in our face paced society - we seem to always be in a rush - we need to slow down -we need to meditate on GOD and HIS word - we need to allow HIS SPIRIT to invade every part of our lives - we must understand what GOD expects and live our lives in such a way that others who don't know HIM will notice - how are your relationships? Often we rush around all day never even enjoying one minute - we often have deadlines looming and we must meet all the expections we have for each day - many of us work very hard each day - and get home with nothing left in the tank - many of us use all we have at work and have nothing left for GOD or for others - we must take the time to mediate - to slow down - to take in God's word and learn from HIM - we need to be like Mary and less like Martha - let's choice the better thing - resting at the feet of our dear Savior! Mediate on HIS word and your life cannot help but change - and others will also notice this and want to follow JESUS as well - let's take the time we need each day to read and take in HIS word!

In Today's verse God does not throw any puches that miss - He gets right to the point - HE wants you to love HIM and other with all you got! With ALL you have! HE alone is worthy of all praise and love from us - HE alone is our Savior - HE alone came down from heaven to save our sin-sick souls. He alone is worthy of praise and honor with our lives- God demands that we love HIM with all we have! HE can demand that because HE is GOD! With that same sentiment GOD says we are to love our neighbors as well - we are to love those whom GOD puts in our lives - now we may not like them at times but we are called to love them with our all! Loving others is not easy - if you are in the work place you will find out quickly that there is lack of communcation and lack love in the business world - many are just there to get ahead - they don't care about you - but GOD didn't tell us to only love thoser around us that deserve love - but those who don't! We are to love the unloveable - but the point being is that we cannot do that apart from GOD! The world is watching us and it should know us by our love - our love for other and our love for GOD! Let's love HIM with all we have! Love like JESUS and the world will follow HIM!

The LORD takes care of HIS people like a Shepherd. He gathers the people like lambs in HIS arms. He carries them close to HIM.

If you belong to the LORD you will be well taken care of - that's a promise - now that does not mean you won't have a want or two that you don't have fullfilled but all your needs will be met! God has made this promise to us if we would follow HIM, He would take care of us! We just need to trust HIM - He wants to hold each of us close to HIM - we are HIS children and as such HE will protect us - now this does not mean when we go out and do something that He tells us not to do that HE will be ok with us not obeying HIM - but HE has given HIS SON for us! He said I will give up my SON for you - and HE did just that and JESUS did as the Father commanded HIM and laid down HIS life for us! He not only told us HE would take care of us - HE showed us in HIS Son! He wants to hold us close because HE knows how evil and so far against Him this world is and HE wants us to be in HIS protective grip - sadly we sometimes go outside of what HE has commanded us to do and we have to suffer the consquences of our actions - but the good news is that it's only here - it's not forever - one day soon we will go home and be with our Savior forever - this is just a dress resherasl of the real deal - our Home is coming soon! Are you ready to be embraced by HIS arms of love?

In this world you will have trouble warned Jesus many times - He knew we would have problems and trials and HE knew how hard it would be to make it in this world- that's why He comforts us with a comfort that is every lasting - not like the tempary pleasure of the here and now- this world is passing away and this is not our home - we will never find complete joy and contentment here -we were designed to live forever but since the fall man has been longing to have a relationship with GOD! but sadly instead of persuing God man has persured himself and has rejected the comfort that JESUS offers - they reject the truth for a lie - they go after whatever temporal comfort this world brings instead of JESUS - man has begun to love the creation more then the Creator - these things should not be so - we must trust in the ONE who paid for our sins on an old rugged cross! The world is passing by and it can often be easy to get caught up in pride and lose the fact that we need JESUS and HIS comfort - life is tough - do you know the ONE who can bring you comfort even in the greatest storm of your life!?

WORD TO THE WISE:
WHEN JESUS CHANGES A LIFE IT STAYS CHANGED FOREVER - WHEN HE WALKS IN YOUR LIFE AND ACROSS YOU LIFE YOU ARE NEVER THE SAME! SEEK HIM AND FOUND COMFORT IN HIM AND HIM ALONE!

What list of boxes do I need to check to be right with GOD! How much is enough - how much can I get by without doing? This is the worlds idea of freedom!
but JESUS gives the soul just want it needs - salvation - salvation is our greatest need - we can have all our earthly needs meet and not have salvation and in the end we will miss it all - this life is not easy - there will be times of pain - times of misunderstanind - and times when it seems like this world has it's chains on you - but JESUS wants you to live a life of freedom - after all HE paid for it - trust in HIM and allow HIM to change you from the inside out - allow the Holy Spirit to take control of your life and change you forever -allow God to make you a new creation - it can start for you today! If you want to be free, trust in the SON - the ONE who paid the ulitmate price for you - that's how much you are worth to God - never allow another person to take you away from JESUS - they may seem really good for you - but God knows better - you may lose out in the earthly but you will gain much more in the heavely - this world is passing by!
Be free today - be free in JESUS!

Do you know where you are going in your life? Do you have direction in which you are going? Does your life have meaning? Is the question "why am I here" on your mind often? Well I got good news for you! Today is the first day of the rest of your life - why not take this day - the first day of October and put your faith and trust in JESUS? He will save you on the spot - today could be the greatest day of your life - today you could come to know JESUS! Is HE your guide in this life? If we follow anyone else we will lead down the wrong path - often God leads us down a road that we would not choise to go down on our own - believe me - I have walked a road these past couple of years that I would never ever have chosen - but now as I look back and can see God's hand in it all - even the bad parts - GOD uses it all for good! He is my guide - He is the one I want to follow - sadly our flesh does not want to follow GOD - our flesh is just death - our flesh will not make it into eternity for GOD is giving us all a new body - a perfect body - if GOD is not your guide then who is? If we don't follow GOD the only other option is following the enemy - and he hates us - he will lie to you - he will cheat you - he will lead you astray - don't follow after him - follow after JESUS - allow HIM to guide your life - HE will guide you every day if you allow HIM too - HE loves you so much - why not trust in HIM today - today may be the best day of your life - today may be the day that it all changes - today could be the start of something wonderful - don't let this day go before you look at your life and see who is guiding it - we have a free will to follow after GOD or not - HE has given us all a choice -what is yours today? Will HE be your guide?

Take a look around you - where ever you are you cannot fail to see God's hand at work - HE made all you see - and all you cannot see! He made those things deep in the ocean no man will ever see - HE also made the stars and galxies in space we could never reach nor reach in the whole history of mankind - GOD is that big and that awesome - allow youself to view creation from HIS view - HE created it all - it all belongs to HIM - we belong to HIM as well - HE created us too - we are HIS handy work - just take a look at your own body - look how complex it is - look at it's working - it's functions - just look at the human eye or the foot - look at the design we have been designed with - look at the world around you today and praise GOD for it all - GOD made it all! There is nothing that we can find in this world that was not made by GOD - HE made it all for us to enjoy - HE could have made this place drab - HE could have taken away all the greenery after the fall - HE could have not put blue watered oceans and green meadow - our GOD is creative - HE made it all - and it all belongs to HIM - we simply borrow it as long as HE allows us to - it's all HIS and it's all about HIM! Much of our problem is we have taken ownership of cretion and we just really borrow it for the length our life - GOD thought of everything when HE made this world and the universe - HE left nothing out - HE calls us to go out and enjoy it - it's all made by HIS hands! Rejoice and praise HIM!

Do you know you can help change a life? There are many with needs around us - many who simply need someone to come beside them and keep pushing them to move forward - we all need encouragment now and again - all of us need pointed in the right direction - we need other's to share the load - we cannot do it alone -we where not designed to do it alone - we must help one another - and show others what it means to live for CHRIST! Sometimes this world can really dissourage us - it can cause us to forget why we are here and were we are going..it's not an easy life - but it's the greatest life - our mission is to build other's up - I call it the big build up! We must be willing to go where GOD calls us to go and do what HE calls us to do - we must build up others in the Church -we are all family in Christ - He longs for a day when we all walk hand and hand serving HIM and one another - The Build Up is coming - are you part of it?

What is your life saying to others? What does your actions say about your realtionship with Christ? What do you want to say? Say it in love!

1st JOHN 1:9
If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness!

God has made us all a faithful promise through HIS SON - HE says in HIS word that IF we would confess to HIM when we fall into sin HE would forgive us - for many pride will keep them from completely that IF - many people find it hard to accept that GOD can forgive them - many think they have gone to far from GOD to love them - some think you must get your life clean and order and then GOD will take you! IF that were true no one could be saved! amen!? We cannot be clean enough - it's only by the blood of JESUS that we have ANY standing with GOD - many refuse to accept HIS offer and sadly will end up in Hell when they die - this does seem harsh -but GOD is good - HE knows best - HE wants us to love HIM not because we have to but because we want to! IF we would only confess our sins HE would forgive us - the forgiveness has been on the table for 2,000 plus years - JESUS paid the price - and IF we would repent and ask HE would forgive us - some say that is way to easy - some day this cannot be true - many say there are many paths to GOD - sadly they will find that they missed the right one! JESUS is the only way - IF you confess your sins HE is faithful to forgive you - HE will never go back on this deal - HE is HOLY and set apart for a reason - HE is the only ONE who is worthy of our praise! IF you are caught in sin - if you cannot seem to find a way out - GOD is there - you just got to admit to HIM you are sinner and that you need HIS forgiveness! IF You are willing HE is willing to forgive you! Amen!

WORD TO THE WISE:
We all want forgiveness - we all have regrets - Seek GOD today and be forgiven and set free!

Hebrews 12:6
Whom the LORD loves He chastens!

Let's face it - Love hurts! If you have even been in love - or if you have children whom you love, and have them do something that hurts you - Love hurts - Sometimes in love we have to say something we would rather not say - or do something we don't want to do - I remember often being whipped for being bad and my Dad saying - "This is gonna hurt me more then it will hurt you" well sure it will - you are gonna hit me!! - but what my Dad said was true - loving others can often hurt! God says in HIS word that those HE loves he must sometimes Chasten - HE must show us the way in which we have done wrong - He loves us so much HE must sometimes all the consquences of our actions catch up to us - and it's often a hard pill to swallow - we must face the facts that we are not GOD - and therefore we are not perfect - we cannot be perfect without God's Spirit dwelling in us - yes sometimes love hurts - but it's the best thing ever - God is love it has been said - Love is what binds us together - I am learning about love first hand by teaching children's Sunday School - I have grown attached to these children and I love working with them - but sometimes I have to get on their case when they are acting up - I do this not because I don't like them but because I love them - we know we are loved by GOD through HIS SON JESUS - HE paid the price for our sinfulness - Love hurts - look what it cost JESUS! HIS very life - so if you are being chasten by GOD don't worry - HE knows what HE Is doing -and by this HE shows you that HE does love you - take it in stride - GOD has a plan for you! Allow HIM to execute it in your life - Love hurts - but GOD heals!

WORD TO THE WISE:
Sometimes the trials are there to show us our need for GOD!

The Daily Blueprint for 9/22/10 Bread & Water
Isaiah 30:20
And though the LORD give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers...

Today's verse was used in yesterday's Our Daily Bread - I found this verse very odd when you see that Isaiah says that GOD has given us the bread of adversity - and the water of affliction - I always thought the enemy brought us pain - but according to this verse that's not the case- God brings it on us! Wow! That should open our eyes and make us look at GOD with humble eyes - we give too much credit to the enemy - and not enough to GOD - not that GOD wants us to suffer but HE will allow suffering to teach us - to mold us - to make us like HIS SON JESUS! It's just bread and water - this is what prisoners used to get to eat - not now - they get good food now - but there was a time they were limited to bread and water - perhaps GOD is saying that while to us the pain is hard and the trial crippling - it's nothing but bread and water - it's not the end of the world - though we may think it is - it is what it is - GOD can use anything to bring us to the place HE wants us - so when trials come let's not complain - let's rejoice - yeah the world around us will think we are nuts! But who cares - our care is to please GOD - so take the bread and the water of the trial and feed on it - allow GOD to use it to change your heart - to make you more and more like HIS SON! We often see trials as curses but GOD wants to use them as a blessing - think back on your trials you have been though and you will say that those times where the times you learned the most - one thing you can count on - class is in session and we are all learning something new every day - allow GOD to mold you - sure it may hurt now - but in the long run it will bring mighty pleasure!

WORD TO THE WISE:
Sometimes GOD allows a trial to come into our life to show us HE is all we need - has HE given you bread and water? Take and eat them - and enjoy the lesson GOD may be trying to teach you!

Ephesians 6:4
Don't keep on nagging and scolding your children...bring them up with the loving discipline the LORD Himself approves, with suggerstions and godly advice!

Children are a gift from GOD - I have really begun to see this as GOD has called me into children's ministry - what preious souls that GOD has given to for me to minister to - many are very receptive to GOD - sadly as we grow older we tend to lose that - God says in HIS WORD that we are to bring up our children in love - that is what is lacking in our world - love - it seems like we can communcate like never before - we have Facebook - Email - Twitter - we have text messaging - we seem more connected then ever before - but sadly that's not really the case - there are so many children rasing themsleves - and that's sad - that's not the way GOD intended it to be - He has the family right - one huband - one wife - forever and from those bonds come children - but this world is not that way - many children are now born to husbandless wives - many more are born into drug abuse and Aids and other diseases caused my not being pure before marriage - I know that's very harsh - but it's true - we have so many men willing to make the babies but not raise them - the way the world has it is wrong - GOD has it right - what about those of you who lost your husbands in the war or to disease - GOD understands and will send someone to care for your children - in one way or another - single mothers you are not alone!
GOD has the family correct but like everything else man has taken the best and settled for 2nd rate - the ideal set up and we have sadly taken God's best and settled for what the enemy says is right - raise up your children to know CHRIST - show them by example - I know I don't have my own children but GOD has placed this on my heart - we must help those around us - there are children in need everywhere - maybe GOD Is calling you to help? Ask HIM - seek HIS face!
Bring up your children in the LORD JESUS and they will never depart from the WAY - sure they will stumble and fall and get scrapes - but in the end they belong totally to GOD - thank you for doing this -

The precepts of the LORD are right,

God desires for us to serve HIM with all we have - He requires obediance - HE wants us to know we are loved by HIM no matter what - obeying HIM brings HIM joy! While I know we are saved by Grace through Faith - but sadly many use that as an excuse to do whatever they want to do when they want to do it - there is freedom in CHRIST but it's not a life that you can live any way you please- the world is looking at us - and what does the world see? Our lives are no longer our own when we give them over to JESUS! When we allow HIM to live in our lives and live through us - we bring GOD the FATHER joy! God did not save us so that we could just hang out and live like the world around us - HE saved us to use us as an example for others to see what it means to follow JESUS - our salvation is not just for us - but for those around us - you want to bring joy to God's heart? Listen to HIM and obey what HE says - the world around us should not be the molding force in our lives - it should be GOD! Our lives may be the only Bible someone sees in their lives - we may be the only one GOD has given the responabilty to to lead someone to HIM! Not that we should live in high pressure about the lost but we should live lives that have them in focus - we want to show them what it means to follow CHRIST!~ The world is looking for authantic believers in CHRIST! Last night I saw a movie called The Second Chance - if you get a chance to rent this movie - please do - it's about what today's verse is talking about - living your life for something greater then yourself - living your life with God's kingdom in focus - this is your one shot at this life - how are you going to spend your time - making youself happy or GOD?

This life is brief - we don't have much time - what are you going to do with the time you have left?

High Places of Battle

Ephesians 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickeness in high places.

Right now even when you cannot see it - there is a battle going on for your soul! The enemy wants to take you down - he hates you and the GOD we serve - he wants nothing more then to destory our realtionship with HIM! The enemy has not changed the way he tries to destory our relationship with GOD since the beginning - his mission has always been to show GOD just how much he hates HIM! Today's verse talks about the battle we all face as the children of GOD - we all face a common enemy - and this enemy has taken down many a people and even many churches - he is ruthless in his hatred for God and His people - we need to be sure we are fighting this battle armed - without God in our lives - we will lose this battle - but because God has given us the power of HIS SPIRIT and of HIS WORD we can fight the good fight of faith! Maybe today you don't feel like a mighty warrior for God - maybe today you got mad and you woke up late and feel wimpy - well the power that we have is not from us but from God - God wants to use you today to fight HIS battle - remember the battle is not ours but belongs to the LORD! Allow HIM to fight for you! This world is an evil place - there are forces of darkness all over the place - in high places even -
that battle we face is with those who rule in high places - in the darkness - in the atmosphere that is against God!
Surrender to JESUS and HE will fight for you!
Let's win the battle with Christ against those in high places!

We are powerless to fight this battle on our own - it takes GOD in us to do it! Allow HIM to!

All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correction and training in righteousness, so the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work!

When GOD calls us to serve HIM , HE will give us all we need to do the job HE has called us to - He will equip us for every good work HE has for us to do - HE has a plan for each one of our lives - nothing is wasted in His econonmy - He has a plan for each and everything that comes into your life - HE wants to use you right where you are - many think they have to move or sell all their belongings and go to far off lands - now GOD may be calling you to do that - but I feel sure HE has not called me to do that - HE has equipped me well to work with children - GOD has blessed me to work in this area - an area not many would want to work in (and one I am questioning after a rough night) but the job GOD has for each of us is custom fit for us - that's why we need to pray and be sure GOD is calling us to do something we believe HE is calling us to - we must be sure. we get one shot at this life and we must live every moment for GOD! God wants you equip you for every good work HE has for you to do - but you have to allow HIM to have full access to your life - not just a couple of rooms but the whole house belongs to HIM - are you equipped? If you know JESUS you are!

WORD TO THE WISE:
Do you know what GOD wants you to do with your life?
Why not take some time today and ask HIM
for HE always knows best for us -
HE always has a plan for us!

Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy!

Let's face it - these are hard times in which we live in - I am feeling to pitch as well - in the past I have given a lot to those in need - I don't say this to pat myself on the back - but to say that GOD has blessed me with the abilty to do this - but here lately I have had to cut back - not because I want too but because I have to - why am I telling you this when today's topic is giving? it's to say I know what it's like to have plenty and I know what it's like to have much - there are people in need right were you live that could use a hand right now? most of the time we think in terms of money - but those in need - need so much more - our time is one thing we can give them - Jesus commands us to love those who are without - He says that GOD knows what their need is before they even ask- if GOD has given you an abudance - why not share it with those in need - if HE has not given you an abundance HE has still given you enough - you can use what you have for HIS glory - those with needs are all around us - from the child you see at church - the the old man on the street corner - they all have needs - their deepest need is for a realtionship with JESUS CHRIST - that's their deepest need - and a need that can be met through GOD alone!
We are to defend those who cannot defend themselves - those who have needs that they alone cannot met - why not visit a local rescue Misison or find a group who goes and feeds the homeless - give of yourself - it's easy to write a check - I have done that a long time but it's hard work to go out - put yourself on the line for the sake of CHRIST! Defend them JESUS says!
WORD TO THE WISE:
many of us could be on the street if we didn't get our next two paychecks - think of that when you see a homeless person and love them!
BECAUSE OF CHRIST we can help the least of these!

What place does GOD have in your life? If He takes any other place but first then something is wrong -something is taking HIS place - whatever it is - that's an idol - GOD must come first - or not at all!

When we honor GOD with our lives - blessings follow - now this is where many get it wrong - thinking blessings mean something tagiable but often we will miss the blessing because we are consumed with ourselves -we must let go and allow GOD to take control - the deep strength we get from GOD is unlike the worldly strength we see around us - nothing in this world can stand up against GOD!
If you want to have strength to face the hard times - you must give your life over to GOD - know many say that won't believe in something they cannot see - but GOD is there waiting for you right now - He loves you - He wants you to be strong in the face of the trials of life -often HE will allow hard times to bring you to your knees and to HIM!
Deep stregth comes from GOD alone - and when it's in our life others will notice - this includes your children - the WORD says that when we honor GOD our children will follow suite - they will follow our example - I must say right here that sometimes they go the wrong way but if they really know CHRIST they will return to their faith - now that's deep stregth right there! Trust in the ONE who gave HIS SON

Proverbs 23:15
My son, how I will rejoice if you become a man of common sense. Yes, my heart will thrill to your throughful, wise words!

Do you know how powerful our words are? A nursery rhyme I grew up with said that sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me! - this statement is not so true the longer I live - I have been personally hurt by words said by others- they have hurt me deeply - I know that no one can make me feel any way - but word can hurt - words can cut people down - but words can also build people up! How are you using your words? Our words can lead those who are lost to CHRIST or they can drive them away - our words are powerful -
God spoke all this into exsitance and it look just one word to make it all - one word will call it all to a close! Our words need to be prayed over before we just blurt them out!
Our words can be used to build bridges or tear them down and build walls - what are you building with your words - what we say and how we say it is important - we must watch our mouths- God says in HIS word - how can blessings and curses come from the same place? How can a mouth speak ugly things - curse and say bad things about others - also speak praises? Good question! Let's be careful what we say!
Let's use wise words!

Our words mean so much - everything that we say we must give an account one day - let's say good things - and mean them deep in our hearts- we can say the right thing and still not live the right way!

Love one another with brotherly affection---as members of one family---give precedence and showing honor to one another.

The Church is a family - the church is an organism - the church is living and breathing - the church is the people of the church - we are family you could say - with that we must love one another - respect on another - we must both love and respect each other - in the church we are to serve each other while we serve GOD - our ultimate goal should always be love GOD and others - GOD has put all the people you know in your path for you to get to know them - to love them - to help them! No man is an island - we need to each other - sometimes however there is a diffrence of opinion among members of the family and sometime feelings get hurt - I am facing such a situation right now - and it's hard - it must be handled careful - because we got to remember we are family - we are to love one another - GOD has a plan and in that plan HE is all about relationship! We must tread lightly and be in prayer when these things arrise - and they will - you better believe it will - you get people who are not the same into one group and there will be trouble at one time or another - we must love each other - I know many who have been hurt in church - and they have some stories - people in church are people none the less - and if you put your trust in people you will be let down - in Christ we are brothers and sisters - in Christ we are one - so let's live like the church GOD intended - loving each others - and forgiving one another - this is the way GOD intended it to be - you are part of the church so you must love one another! GOD loves you - love each other!

The Daily Blueprint for 9/6/10 Labor
John 6:27
Labor not for the meat which parishes, but for that meat which endures unto ever lasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for Him hath God the Father sealed!

Today across America people are taking a break from work - this is a day of rest -the end of summer is upon us - all the fun we had (or didn't have) is now history - School is back in session - and work is something we all have to do - we must labor to earn an income! If you don't work - how will you be able to eat - or provide for your family?
Work is a fact of life - no doubt about it - we all are thankful for 2 days a week we can be off from work - please note there are those working who don't get those two days a week off - there are those who serve in the Armed Forces who must work on days that we are off to keep us safe! There are people in the health profession that must work - volunteers at local rescue squads - don't get a day off - they are always needed - Today's verse talks about laboring for that which does not pass away - eternal things - these are the important things - not to make light those who serve in dangerous jobs - those who work on holiday's - but this world is fleeting it's passing away - we are not here for long and must make our mark - but what does our life say to others? What are we working for? Is it simply to provide things to ourselves and our families? Is it more than that? for some work is a social event -a place to get away from the outside world and become part of a mini-communtiy - for others their job defines them - their job is most important and can become an idol - put before God - this is dangerous - GOD has given us jobs to do HIS will - we are HIS agents on the job - where ever GOD has placed you - be a light - live for His glory for those around you to see - remember what you do says a lot about the GOD you serve!
Let's labor for that which will last forever - our very souls and the souls of countless others that GOD places in our path!Today is the day - rest today but tomorrow it's time to get back to it!

WORD TO THE WISE:
Work for me has been tough for the past couple of weeks - but that does not make me run away but it causes me to fight that much harder to stay - to be used by GOD - what about you? What's GOD asking you to do? God be with you all - Happy Labor Day!

Who Are You Working For?

In all the work that you are doing, work the best you can, Work as if you were working for the LORD, not for men!

Work is a fact of life - we don't work - we don't eat - and these days jobs are hard to find - many of us are struggling just to keep our jobs - with layoffs becoming more and more common - job security is not very high these days - there is much pressure on us to perform - we are under fire more and more - jobs are hard to come by!

The good news today is that we actually work for GOD not our employers - oh sure they pay us for the work we do - but our mission is to please GOD first and foremost before anyone else - many have this all wrong - they try and please man - but we should do that as our main goal - we must do the best job we can -not for us - not for our bosses - but for GOD - HE is the one who we must please - people cannot save our souls - they cannot forgive us our sins only JESUS can do that - are you working for your earthly boss alone? Or for GOD who gave you the job - today the economy is doing really bad - we can no longer depend on our jobs to be there but we can trust in the ONE who will never leave us or forsake us - let's remember what we do now matters - people are watching what we are doing -what is your life say?
Let's remember GOD is our boss - our manager - HIS SON Our Savior - who are you working for?

WORD TO THE WISE:
WHEN WE WORK - WE SHOULD WORK PRAYFULLY AND REMEMBER THE LORD IS OUR PROVIDER NOT OUR JOBS!

Let's face the facts - some days are better then others - yesterday was a tough day for me- for some reason I was really frazzled and every little thing got on my last nerve - it was just one of those days - I was borthed by everything it seems - then I got some news that my friend lost his job - and then my boss came down on me a little - all this brought my mind to today's verse - well to be honest it was not the first thing I thought of - I got angry - and I am not happy about that - but I was angry and I just could not let it go - all the while GOD was working it all out for my good - we often have no idea what GOD is saving us from - sometimes HE allows what we think are bad things to happen - many of us when faced with a trial will run from it - we don't want to suffer at all - at any cost -sorry but following Christ means we will suffer - but that's not the end of the story - before I make those of you who don't know Jesus run the other way - following Christ is not easy - I will level with you - it's not the easy life - if you want the easy life - don't follow Christ! but that easy life will end in death - and death forever apart from Jesus is what you get if you don't come to know HIM! Today's verse says that all things work together for good - ALL things - not some things - not certian things - ALL THINGS!
so no matter what you are facing today - GOD is working it out for our good! Even when we cannot see it! Just trust in the one who knows you better then anyone!

Word to the wise:
NO ONE CAN STAND IN THE WAY OF GOD'S PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE!

No Matter

...For I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances!

Take a look at any tv program and you will see commericals offering products you have to have to make your life better - to bring you contentment - but sadly nothing they could ever offer could bring any of us lasting freedom from our chains - no product was designed to make us content - the stuff of this world is never enough - I was struggling with this very thing today - I wanted to buy something that I "needed" but every time I thought about it - I kept feeling I should not buy it - I didn't have the money - and after all it was not gonna make me feel any more content then I already was! I have to admit I have gone through some very bad circumstances in the past couple of years - but GOD has seen me through it all - GOD has always made a way for me when there was no way it could have been done without HIM! I passed up buying what I wanted but got something better - peace! The world may offer peace but true peace only comes from a relationship with JESUS CHRIST! Paul was content with the circumstances of his life -and if anyone could have complained it was Paul - I mean he was put in jail for preaching the gospel - He was beaten - He was ship wrecked - and blinded - he could complain and no one would have blamed him - and yet he wrote these words - he was content - no matter the circumstance - he has a message for us today - I don't really know anyone of you who recieve this daily that has ever been in jail - now this may be forwarded to someone who was in jail at one time - of course some of those people may be in jail right now - God is placing this on my heart - someone caught in jail needs to hear this message- these words of Paul where not written from a palace or a church - but jail - Paul was locked up and wrote these words! May that message sink in deep in your life today - I pray for you to hear God's voice and to know that no matter what - God has a plan and God loves you!

Word to the wise:
If you think this world is gonna make you happy - you are in the wrong place!

Unlike The World

John 14:27

I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid!

The word's idea of peace is money - possessions - relationships - position - or jobs - none of these things will bring you the peace that lasts - all these things will pass away - but GOD never will - He will always there to give us real lasting peace -
Do you have peace in your life? Does your life have this peace?
Not a worldly peace - but a lasting true and full peace - a peace that passes our understanding - is your life about JESUS? Or have you allowed the things of this world to choke HIM out - HIS word should live in our hearts - HIS HOLY Spirit should be in control of our hearts and minds - with this control there is real lasting peace and life like no other!
Without JESUS there is no lasting peace - no hope - no life - just death - but in CHRIST there is hope like no other - there is hope that moves mountains - the world pales in comparison to JESUS!
The world cannot save you - the world can just offer you temporary things - things that won't last - things that are just dust!
Take JESUS at HIS word today - come to know HIM
and have peace unlike the world around you!

Word to the wise: This world is passing away - all that is in it won't be one day but GOD will always be!

Faith is Vision

1 Peter 1:8

"Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy"
I love the verse in a song we sing in Church - the line goes like this "When faith will be sight!" One day beloved our faith will be sight - for we will see JESUS face to face -

one day soon we will leave this old world far behind and be joined together with JESUS our LORD - right now we have faith without sight - none of us have seen JESUS face to face - although we can see the effect of HIM everywhere - in a way our faith is our sight - we do not put our trust in what we can only see - but what we cannot see - our faith will one day become sight!

Today are you living a life that is Blind to JESUS?
IS your life about HIS business or your own?
Is God #1 in our life?
These are tough questions but they must be answered!
We have to remember we believe not because we have seen
but because we have faith - faith that is seen is not faith at all -
We do show the world around us if we do believe what we say we do!

In our day to day life Faith must be a vision -- we must see our life through the lens of faith - without our faith - life would be meaningless - we would have no purpose at all - the good news is this world is not all there is -we are as well as the world - passing away - we are not going to be here forever - one day we will be home!

Until that day - the best we can do is see life through the vision of faith!

What are you looking at today? JESUS or your circumstances?

Word to the wise: Our best vision is when we see GOD clearly!

He Alone

To the only GOD our SAVIOR be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord!

God alone is worthy of our praise - many have gotten this wrong and this one point is very important - some have worshiped pastors and other leaders of the church - this is not what GOD wants at all - HE alone is worthy of our praise - He alone is worthy of honor and glory! He alone - He alone is worthy of all our life - not just part of it!

Even though we have gotten this wrong - GOD still forgives us - but this is a serious thing - if we try to steal HIS glory we become thieves - and we won't shine for the world to see - when we steal HIS glory we take something that does not belong to us!

God made everything - HE alone is worthy of worship - many this very day worship false gods - the gods of money - fame - sex - work - anything that we put before GOD can become a god to us - many will be offended by such a statement - but it's none the less true - I have to admit I have been caught worshipping the wrong god - I like a clean house and sometimes I put that before spending time with GOD - sometimes that's more important to have a clean house - or to please people - none of this is correct - I ask for God to forgive me - it shows me how much I need HIS blood - how much a sinner I am apart from CHRIST - I am no better then anyone else - I fall to the same things other people fall to - I have always believed when you step out in faith and do something for GOD then the enemy will hit you with all he has - he wants to get you off track - he wants you to worship him instead of GOD - Jesus went through this in the desert - but HE used the mighty word of GOD to tell the devil to leave him -
JESUS would not bow to him and neither should we - the enemy is real and he hates you - he hates me and he hates God - his mission is to destroy us HIS church - but it is not gonna happen - nothing can stop the true CHURCH!

We must daily check our lives to see if there is anything we put before GOD
and ask HIM to take it from us- to take our desire away for the things of this world!

HE ALONE IS WORTHY OF WORSHIP!

Word to the wise: Nothing should come before GOD!

He Supplies What is Needed

For the administration of the service not only supplies the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;....

Everything we have comes from GOD - for HE made all and all was made for HIS glory - He made us because He wanted too - He sometimes likes to show off - after all HS is GOD - He can do whatever HE wants - HE owns it all - HE is the ONE who can supply all we need - HE is the ONE who can give us just what we need - HE loves us - we are HIS children - We are to live lives that show the world around us that we belong to HIM - and HIM alone - no one else owns us - no one else knows best what we need but GOD alone - HE supplies what is needed every time - often times He allows circumstances to put us in want - HE does this so we will lean and and depend on HIM at all times - we are weak in our flesh - we can do nothing apart from HIM -
we can try - but we will never be fullfilled - we will never be given what we need unless we make HIM LORD of our lives - JESUS came and died for our sins - HE came willingly - the KING came as a servant - HE came to serve - HE came to give us just what we need - HE does the same thing today - we who belong to HIM have access to all HE has and all HE is! The reason we have what we have is GOD ordained it - GOD made all that you see - and all that you cannot see -
HE made this world for us - HE made the universe and everything in it to bring HIMSELF glory! Are your needs met? This world cannot do it - only GOD can -
this world is passing away - what we have before us in better then what has come before us - GOD will give us just what we need - depend on HIM today!

Word to the wise: If you are in need - go to the only ONE who can meet that need!

Called By Him

you are Mine!

How many of you have felt and heard the call of God on your life? Now it may be a still small voice that is easy to ignore - I know in my life I have resisted the call of God - I felt years ago that I should go into youth ministry - but nothing ever became of it - later on I heard the call to mentor others - God used me in the lives of two young men - one now is married and has a family of his own - the other told me the other day that he is thankful I have been there for him! Then the call moved to children -I have been blessed with the ability to met children where they are at -- it's all JESUS nothing to do with me - but HIS call was heard years ago - but I didn't listen - and it took me years to find out what HE wanted me to do - do you hear that call on your life?
God didn't save us to be by ourselves - He wants us to be part of His community - the Church -we are HIS bride! I know GOD has call me - has He called you?
the purpose of this devotional today is not to pat myself on the back - it's to bring GOD glory for the call on my life - My flesh does not want to serve God - right now my flesh is fighting me - I want to do this for GOD but my flesh is weak - but the reason this continues to be put out is because I feel the call of GOD on my life -
I pray that you can hear and sense that same call- the workers are few JESUS says - will you be one of HIS workers - this often will mean little pay and no praise from men - not that we should seek that! There will however be much joy - the world around us is dying - there are lost people right without our voice - let's call out to GOD on their behalf - it's not about us - it's all about HIM! Are you called by HIM?

Word to the wise: God is calling you
- He does not call the qualified - He qualifies the called!

Finished Works

Hebrews 4:13
For we which have believed do enter into rest, as HE said, As I have sworn in My wrath, if they sahll enter into My rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world!

God is not done with any of us yet - or else we would have already been taken home to heaven - God has a plan for each of our lives - He wants us to remain in His rest - His rest means we quit trying in our power and trust in His power to do in us what we cannot do on our own - we must trust His power , His Grace and His love to see us through - we must depend on Him and not oursleves - this seems to be a common theme in the devotionals God is leading me to write - He is building something beautiful with HIS church - I am seeing this more and more - HE wants us to be built on HIM and HE wants us to be ready for the Groom - it's hard being a male and thinking about the fact we , the church are the Bride of Christ - we must build our lives on Him -
and when all is said and done - God will have some wonderful finished works!
We are all incomplete at the moment - none of us have arrived yet - none of us have made to the place were we can just quit growing and become done!
We have to strive in Christ each day - being a Christ follower is not a part time job - but a 24/7/365 commitment to allowing God to build our lives on HIS foundation and what HE builds cannot be torn down - however what we build on our won't stand the test of time - soon we will be finished works for Christ - but right now - we must contiune on the path He has set before us and serve HIM by serving others in HIS name! We are works in progress - soon HE will complete us to His specifications!

Word to the wise: Let GOD finish you - HE knows what's best!

Built On Christ

Ephesians 2:19
You are fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus as the chief cornerstone.

This ministry is all about building lives on the God's Word! His word is something we can rely on - it will never change - you will never have to worry about it changing - because it's GOD's infallible Word! His love letter to us!

There are people today who are building their lives on something other then JESUS!
These lives will never be compete - they will never have the joy - the peace - the freedom we have in CHRIST! They will have live that in the end will prove to be empty! We who know and worship Christ are living our lives from His foundation - not a man made one - a have a friend who said that he builds his life on his own foundation - told him that is not correct - if he is in Christ then his foundation is none other then Jesus Christ - Our lives should be built on JESUS and no one else -
We cannot build lives that matter apart from HIM! We must be willing to put the foundation of CHRIST In our lives in the forefront for all to see - we cannot be separated from JESUS and nothing can separate us from His love - no matter what we may done in the past - today is the day the foundation of your life can change - it's moving the trust from yourself and others to JESUS and HIM alone-
Just what is your life built upon? If it not on JESUS then you are lost and without hope - today you can trust JESUS like never before - today your life can be rebuilt!
BUILD IT ON CHRIST!

Word to the wise: There is no better foundation for our lives then JESUS!

Sparrow

Matthew 10:29-30
Not one sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. So don't worry! You are more valuable to Him then many sparrows!

What value does God place on a human life? He was willing to send His One and Only Son to die for the sins of mankind - what kind of price is that? The Word of God says that you are worth more then many sparrows - the point being that God knows when a sparrow falls to the ground - nothing happens without God's knowledge - Jesus said if The Father is concerned for a sparrow - how much more is He concerned about us?
Sometimes in this life we go by what others say about us - we begin to believe what they say over what God says - if we go by man -we will fall - we will fail - we will be let down - I was just talking to a friend the other day - and we talked about this very thing - we are worth more then anyone says we are worth - we cannot go by the labels this world puts on us - we must go by what JESUS says! He alone determines our worth - He alone made us! Many times our performance becomes who we are to the world around us - always do great things and never fail the world will label you a success!
but fail - the world will call you a failure - it's so good that GOD does not see us the way the world sees us - there are people this very moment giving up on life - could this be one of you? Maybe this message is for you - just you - whoever you are - God loves you - God longs for you to know this! God loves you!
No matter what you have done - no matter where you have been!
GOD loves you - HE cares about you deeply - HE sent HIS only SON for you!
If it was just you HE would have done it all!

I watched a movie last night called the Cross and the Switchblade -
if you get a chance rent it - it's about Ricky Cruise - this guy used to hate JESUS - he hated a preacher that came on his turf - but in the end Nicky found out what GOD thought of him - he found out how much he is worth to GOD - let's see ourselves as GOD sees us - in Christ we are free from condemnation - we are free from the power of our sins - GOD loves us so much HE has given us all we need!

You are worth so much to GOD - HE loves you - yes you!

Word to the wise: Only GOD can rate a life!
HE views us as worth more then anything else!

Growth

2nd Peter 3:18a
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Growth is found in nature - things must grow to survive - they must adapt to the things around them - we have to change the way we do things today because money is so tight - we must be smarter with the money God allows us to use! We must be willing to take the steps to grow in our faith as well - this grow requires exercise - and exercise requires work - many of our have gotten spiritually lazy - many of us are happy to stay right where we are - but fortunately God loves us too much to leave us like we were!
His single goal is to make us like His Son Jesus - that's it - God wants us to be conformed into the image of His Son - He wants us to be holy as HE is holy -
this requires spiritual sweat - it's not easy - but GOD does the work so in one respect it is easy - the problem is we try and stay the way we are and God is trying to (and HE succeeds I might ad!) to make us like His Son - HE does not want us to stay stagnate like a pond but HE wants us to be a river HE can flow through -all this takes growth - a Tree cannot live long if it remains a sampling - it must grow and reach toward the sky - we must do the same thing in our faith - if we ever get to a place were we are satisfied with our faith we are in trouble - God didn't make us to sit still - He wants us to move to His beat - to grow toward the Light - We must be willing to be moldable - and not hard unmoldeble clay - God has a plan for our lives -are we willing to grow with that plan or continue on where we are - Growth must happen in our spiritual life or else it will die!

Word to the wise: Trees always grow toward the light -
is your life growing toward the LIGHT?

God Must Build It

Psalm 127:1
If the LORD does not build the house,
The builders labor in vain to build it.

The question that comes to my mind when I read today's verse is that many in this world have built their lives on something other then Jesus Christ. Those who have built on anything else have built on shaky ground - everything in this world will one day pass away - this is not our home - you see many famous people who live in direct opposition to Christ and His Ways - they live hollow lives that the world accolades -
Lives that don't bring God glory -- many live as if there is no God - that's so sad!
We who know JESUS as LORD know there is a GOD - and HE loves us - HE loves everyone that He created! (hint - that's everyone!!) Jesus came to save those who are lost (again that's everyone!) If we want to bring GOD glory - HE must build the building - He must build our lives up in order to accomplish what HE wants us to do -Maybe you feel like GOD didn't build you well -that's not true -you are a treasure of GOD - HE made you - you are HIS Masterpiece! Many are lost and dying around us - many don't know JESUS came to save them - it's our mission to tell them about JESUS - since HE has built our lives on the ROCK - We can now move forward and bring JESUS to the lost and dying around us! We can build on solid ground now - the shaking ground of this world is not the place to build - GOD must build it - or else it will all be in vain - we can love others - we can serve others - but without JESUS in our heart - it's meaningless - what is your life built on???

Word to the wise: The sandy foundation of this world won't stand - but the ROCK will always stand and we can build our lives upon HIM!

What we build upon

1st Corinthians 3:11
For no one can lay any foundation other then
the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ!

The whole permise of this ministry is building our lives on GOD'S WORD!
I send these out daily to show that God's Word is the blueprint we need to see what it means to live this life for Jesus Christ - that is the single purpose - but it has many facets - one facet is bringing the lost to Christ -the other facet is helping those who already walk with HIM to walk closer to HIM - thirdly it's to encourage those of the faith that are struggling - this three point purpose is what I strive to convey each day - That the only one to whom we can really build our lives on is JESUS!
HE alone deserves our worship and respect - sadly in this day and age many are falling away from their faith - many are just walking away - it's alarming - GOD Is so good and HE sent HIS only SON to save us - and yet many are just walking away - It's like when JESUS was talking to many about eating His body and drinking His blood - some said it was too hard a saying and they walked away - Jesus asked the 12 if they wanted to walk away too - I think it was Peter who said - Lord where else can we go!
The truth is - no where - we cannot go anywhere without CHRIST!
We must build our lives upon HIM and HIS truth!
We must not build on this sandy foundation of this world but on the sure foundation of the ROCK - there has been times recently in my faith were I have gotten lazy - I don't read the WORD like I should - I don't pray as much as I should - I know none of that saves me (only the blood of JESUS makes me right with GOD) but it's good to do those things if you want to grow -
What is your life built apon - anything but JESUS means it's gonna pass away
but in CHRIST all things remine brand new!
Build on the ROCK!

He made Man

Genesis 1:26a
And GOD said, Let US make man in Our image,
after Our likeness.

God in His infinate wisdom created man - we are only because He wants us to be - no one is here by accident - and we won't be leaving by accident - GOD has a plan and it's perfect - He does not need us at all but He choose to make us - knowing full well HIS creation was going to turn it's back on HIM - HE still made man! He knew of the garden and HE knew of the fall that was going to take place - HE saw all the way from the beginning to the end - HE is both the beginning and the end - He made man so that man could enjoy HIM forever and man could enjoy GOD forever - however once sin entered the picture that all changed but it didn't catch GOD off guard - today's devotional is one in which I want to tell you that GOD values you - you are no mistake - I know of several people that have basically given up on life - I had to admit to myself I was there at one time during this tough journey of the last couple of years - losing several loved ones and friends has been tough - losing my marriage is been tough and the health scares I have been through - and I am not alone - several close friends from my past have left this earth - both my Mom and my Dad are now gone home - couple that with the passing of my step-sister Tari-Janye - one can see how fregal our lives really are - the only thing I can say is I know GOD made us - I know HE has a plan - and I know that HIS plan will come to pass - no matter what we do or don't do -
HIS will shall be done - GOD made man for the purpose of man enjoying GOD!
One day when our lives here are ever we will see HIM! Those of us who have followed HIM will not be meeting Him for the first time -God made us - He formed us in our Mother's womb - and He wants to show us HIS love through HIS grace!
If you have been born once - you can be born again! God made man - and it is good!

Word to the wise: Whenever you feel worthless remember just what GOD did to save you! HE has made us worthy! through the blood of HIS dear Son!

When you wake up in the morning - what do you put on? I am not just talking about physically - but spiritually - if you head out of the house undressed you will look funny and would get arrested for indecent exposure - in the same way going out without your spiritual clothes on is very foolish - we must put on CHRIST when we get up every morning - we must put on HIS righteousness and not try to obtain it on our own - we must put on the right things in order to stand against the enemy - you don't show up to battle without your gear do you? A football player would be useless without his gear - and without the play book - as Christ followers we are to ware HIS garments!
We must be willing to admit we cannot do it on our own - it takes putting on CHRIST to make it! The enemy is not gonna rest while we sit around undressed - without the blood of JESUS we are powerless - but in CHRIST we have HIS power to fight off the enemy of our souls - put on CHRIST!

Word to the wise: If we don't ware the right clothing -we will be foolish!

Life & Death

Romans 8:2
The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Once we have received the adoption from GOD to be HIS sons and daughters we are completely changed - know often on this side of heaven we won't see these changes - we are all human and we all miss the mark and mess up - we all fall short -
but in CHRIST there is life - but apart from HIM there is only death -
now you may say you see people who are just living fine without Christ - they like as alive as we do - but the outside and the inside is not the same thing - we are all in need a the Saviors healing blood - we must come to a place in our lives where we find that CHRIST is all we need - there are many things in the world today vining for our attention - friendships - courtships - work - any a number of things that can take our minds off GOD - without our mind on anything else -we are not really living!
We must put CHRIST first in all things -we must be willing to set our lives apart for CHRIST and not try and live it apart from HIM - we find out quickly that the LAW only brings Death but JESUS only brings LIFE - which are you following? Life or Death?

Word to the wise: when you follow CHRIST you won't go in the wrong direction!

Understand

Colossians 1:9
...asking GOD to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.

Knowledge - this is something everyone wants - but sadly not everyone is willing to do what it takes to get it - it's something we use and then get rid of - often we will show just how smart we are but spewing off a lot of facts- however facts are not the same thing as wisdom - we all want to be looked at as intelligant - being being smart does not mean you have the correct knowledge - we must have the correct view of GOD - if we ask HIM HE would give it to us - but do we ask HIM? He has already said in HIS word that if we ask ANYTHING in HIS name - HE will do it - if it's according to HIS will - oftentimes we come to God thinking we know it all - but it's not the truth - our minds cannot contain all God knows - we would be blown away to see what GOD sees - do you just want to know facts about JESUS or do you want to know Him personally - many shy away from this realtionship because they think it means giving up things- they think it means people will think they are nuts - many worry what this will do to their image - but it's sad - that they would exchange this world for the one to come - JESUS wants to live in and through us today - one way HE does this is by giving us spiritual knowlege - but HE does not give it just for the sake of Knowledge - He wants - He longs for everyone to walk with HIM - HE wants no one to miss heaven - we can have much brain knowledge and street smarts - but without JESUS we are nothing -we can do nothing and our lives will amount to nothing -
let the widsom of GOD reveal the truth of just who HE is!

Word to the wise: The more we think we understand - the less we really do understand!

Early

:Proverbs 8:17
I love them that love Me, and those who seek Me
early shall find Me!

If there is one thing about me that you may not it's this -
I am not a morning person - I am much more a night owl - it's always a little past midnight before I finally wind down - it takes me a while because I am most awake right before I have to go to bed - and when morning comes - ugh - I am not a happy camper - don't get me wrong - I love life - I love living - but I also enjoy hitting the snooze button as many times as I can get away with! God says in today's verse that we need to seek HIM early - not I am not sure sure this really means the time of the day - but rather the time of our lives - if we wait to the last breath to finally praise JESUS it may be just too late! We must live every moment for our King - true there are people today who have never even heard the name JESUS which is very sad - you would think everyone knows JESUS - but it's not true - many are lost around us right now - in our day to day activites there are those who won't get to be with GOD in heaven - how sad - we must seek GOD early - not later - not as an afterthought - we must put Him first - He does not want lukewarm children - He wants children who are willing and able to do what HE calls them to do - He has a misison for each of our lives - some of us have sought Him and found out what it is - others have not taken the time to develop a relationaship with CHRIST personally - we must seek GOD early - before it's too late - JESUS said that those who seek HIM will know the Father - there is no doubt once you know JESUS that your life will change - you will want to see HIM first before anyone else - are you seeking the LORD early? Or are you just giving Him your leftovers - the last moment of your day or the last moment of your life - GOD Is there - HE is waiting for you today - come to HIM just as you are - seek HIM early -
before it's too late! One day HE will come back - one day HE will break open the Eastern sky - we have to be ready - the time is now!
Seek HIM early - Seek HIM often - Seek HIM now!

Word to the wise: If we try to serve JESUS by walking by sight - we will be blind to what HE wants for our lives!

Son Light

Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men , that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven!

Our lives are no longer our own - we no longer can make our own choices - we must consider what GOD wants above what we want - that is the Christian life in a nut shell - GOD wants to use your life and my life to bring light into the world - we must have this Son Light in our lives so that those around us will see JESUS in us - remember it's to bring HIM glory not ourselves - it's easy to get this all mixed up - afterall we have the flesh to contend with - today's verse says to allow the light of JESUS to shine in and out of our lives so that those who see us will tell there is something different about us - right now my church is going through some changes - but what amazes me is that light is being cast from the lives of those in our church - you can see it in their lives - this is not just a Sunday thing - it's a total life style deal - every moment that they can they show the world JESUS - that's what we are here to do - to bring GOD glory!
Have you allowed HIS Light to shine in your life? Are you keeping it under a bush - hiding it until Sunday when you walk into the church -that's not the right way to live this life - we must be willing to give up our wants and desires so that GOD has HIS way in our lives and the lives of those around us - we can allow this world to dim our light from JESUS or we can allow HIM to cast HIS Light through our lives-
we are not here for ourselves but for others and for GOD!
Let the light of JESUS shine in your life today - the world around us needs HIM!

Word to the wise: If you want to shine for JESUS - you need HIS Light!

The Justifier

Romans 3:26
...To declare, I say, at this time His righteousness: that He might be just, and the justifer of them which believe in Jesus!

We are all sinners - we all know this - just a quick look into our lives will show others we are not perfect on our own - but when we allow JESUS to come into our lives and change us - HE will do just that - Once we know HIM we will never be the same again! The old has gone - the new has come! Jesus is the justifer of our souls -
HE poured out HIS life on the cross for our sins - He paid the ulitmate price -
HE alone saves! We cannot do enough rightous acts to ever balance the scales in our favor - we were born into a sin-filled world - a place that is ruled by the enemy -
Many feel that sin is not a big deal - however GOD has the final say on that -
HE willingly sent HIS own SON to a terriable death - and seperation from HIMSELF to pay the price for sin - none of us could pay such a price - how many of us would give up their sons for someone who hated them - that's just what we did when we lived a life of rebellion against God - but JESUS came and justified us with the Father -
That was HIS mission - it was a rescue mission - Jesus paid the price - let's never tire of hearing that fact - many live lives that deny JESUS - many who call themsleves Christians are not really following the ONE TRUE GOD! They give lip service to this truth but they don't live it - it's so sad to see someone confess CHRIST and yet live a life contrary to HIS ways - now don't get me wrong -we will all fail - we will all sin -we can all sin at the drop of a hat - but JESUS is the one who took the penalty and placed it on HIMSELF - do you know the justifer today? If not you will have to stand before GOD one day in your own righteouseness - which is never gonna be enough!
JESUS paid the price -won't you put your trust in HIM today?

Word to the wise: JESUS SAVES - don't forget you cannot save yourself!

ONE

John 17:21
That they all may be one ; as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they may be one in Us: that the world may believe that You have sent me......

Jesus had one single desire - this was what drove all that He did - That was - that He and His followers would be one just like HE and HIS FATHER are one! Sure He also saved mankind from their sins - but that was not the only reason HE came - He wanted unity in His Body! He wanted the church and those in the church to be one - one mission - there is one bapistim - one Spirit -and HIS people should be one - one cause going in one direction - Jesus longed for all of us to be one - He longed for us to have that intimacy that He had with His Father - He wanted to share that - it's too bad that often commuities are formed in churches to decide what color the carpet or paint should be and people get into heated debates about this - and it turns into an angument-
in this there is no unity - we are not to fight within the church -we are to give of ourselves and in that become one with those who attend church with us - Chruch should be totally unlike the world around us - it should be a safe oasis for peope -
but sadly in many churches this does not happen!
JESUS wants us to be one! This was His goal - to bring us into a realtionship with the Father through the Son! Are you seeing unity in your church? We are all a part of the body of Christ! Let's go be one with HIM and each other!

Word to the wise: If you want unity in your church - be the the one who gives up what they want so the whole church gets what God wants!

There Is No ONE like JESUS!

All These Things

Matthew 6:33
But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you!

God has a plan for each one of our lives - HE knows what HE is doing - even when it seems like HE is not acting on our behalf - the truth is HE Loves us with an every lasting love! A love we cannot understand - He has some things HE wants us to do -
HE wants obedience - yes HE sent HIS SON to die for our sins - but that does not mean we should just live a life of sin - that does not glorify God - many will call that old fashioned and not hip - but it matters more to honor GOD then to be popular -
do we seek HIS kingdom first? or is this temporary world more important - before we answer we must look at our actions - we must also look at our hearts - GOD looks right into our hearts and we cannot hide anything from Him - He desires a close relationship with each of us - HE Is big enough to love all of us at the same time!
When we do what HE says our lives bring HIM honor - if we don't then we dishonor Him - the main issue these days is the economy - many are worried about their jobs - and their families - which is understandable - but we must trust in our true source of life - JESUS CHRIST! HE is our provider! When we seek HIS kingdom first all these things will be added to us - we must believe HE can do what HE says HE can do -
or else we will fail in this life - we must trust the ONE who gave us all we need!
Are you in need? Seek HIM first - are you sick - Seek HIM first - HE wants us to seek HIM and HIS kingdom before anything else!

Word to the wise: When we seek HIS kingdom before anything else - we will lack nothing! (this does not mean we won't have needs!)

HIS PEACE

John 14:27
Peace I leave you, My peace I give you, I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid!

It's great to be back! I took a whole month off and I feel so much better - I feel ready to once again talk about JESUS and what HE means to me - and in this I hope to help each one of you - I have been in prayer - I have taken some time off to recharge -
GOD is good - so with that said - let's get started!

Today's verse talks about peace - but a peace not like the worldly peace we see -
it's a peace that goes deep - a peace that stays - a peace that changes us!
it's the peace JESUS gives to us - this peace is not superficial - it's not a feeling - it's a lifestyle - HIS peace is not like the world's definition of peace - the world says that if you have money - if you have fame - if you have popularity - then you have peace -
However the equation does not work -- only JESUS gives us true lasting peace - a peace we cannot even begin to understand !! Maybe today you would say you do not have that peace - you need to ask yourself why not! Jesus freely gives us HIS peace when we ask HIM to - when we accept JESUS as LORD and SAVIOR then this peace comes with it - sometimes circumstances of our lives will not be peaceful - but knowing JESUS through the trial - you will have peace that the world cannot touch!
Nothing can take HIS peace away - your circumstances may be bad - you may "Feel" down and alone - but that does not mean GOD is not there - HE just wants us to trust HIM! May the peace that passes all understanding fill your life today and forever more - the world cannot compare to what JESUS gives us - know the ONE who gives us real peace - live your life for HIM and you will have peace - notice I didn't say all your trouble will go away - you will have new trouble - but JESUS will bring the peace!

Word to the wise: True peace comes from having a personal intimate relationship with JESUS CHRIST!
